I was raised on a small farm in the south, and as such have always had animals around in my day to day life. We were each given our own dog (and flying squirrel, and cat, bird, and sometimes even a cow or horse) to care for, and I will forever be a dog lover because of it!
My husband and I just relocated to Newport Beach from Washington, D.C., and we have (for the first time ever!) a large apartment that allows dogs. Our place is 1,000 square foot with an open floor plan and wood floors, ample outdoor space for taking walks and playing, and an empty beach 15 minutes away. Because I work from home, I have the good fortune of enjoying walks each day, and it would be wonderful to take your pup along for the exercise! We walk around Balboa Island and Newport Beach, so it is very important that your dog gets along with other dogs, because there is certainly no shortage around here. Promontory Point, the apartment complex we are part of, has it's own dog park so there will be plenty of friends to make if your pup is into being social.
As a former dog owner myself, I know how nerve-wracking it can be to take your dog to a place you have not visited before, so please feel free to set up a time to come see our place and the area around our apartment!
