“It is difficult to truly express how wonderful of an experience, boarding our senior pup with Jodie and Justine truly was. I’ve been with my pup for almost 15 years and she recently has showed some signs of being an older dog right as we had planned a short getaway. We originally planned to cancel but had thought maybe we’d check rover to see if there we’re any options. Sure enough, we came across Jodie and her recent experience with her own pooch and it felt like it was somewhat meant to be. Still somewhat nervous that it may be too good to be true, we arrived at their house. We got out of the car and almost instantly the door swung open and we were greeted with such a warm, inviting welcome. We were invited in, Jodie took the time to go over all the details while also being a lovely host. Over the course of the next few days we were given incredible, sincere, funny, and reassuring updates along with photos and videos. This was our best rover experience to date and we would be so lucky to have Jodie and Justine watch Clementine again. Or just hang out with them. They were just wonderful. Truly.”
2. Karen C.
“Karen and family were awesome with Alibi, our 15 months old Australian Shepherd. Lots of personal attention, and a great large fenced yard for the dogs to chase each other around. Karen’s whole family welcomed Alibi into their home and she really connected with their dog Lily. All in all, the stay was great and we will certainly be using Karen’s services again!”

About: I live on a farm in Hadley with my puppy, Blueberry. She LOVES all creatures. She will be 1 in April 2024. We have lots of land to explore and sniff. We have a dog play room (which has overflowed to other rooms). With your permission, we’d love to go on ice cream dates. All pups are allowed on all furniture (what else is furniture for?) Blueberry is my first dog as an adult. I had a cocker spaniel as a child (age 8-21). I’ve gotten pretty good at brushing with this fluffy, curly girl so can provide that if desired. I am a teacher (a reading specialist for kinders-2nd grade) and am available on weekends and school vacations. I will be available full time starting June 14. I have dog/house/cat sat occasionally. A fenced in area will be added to my yard soon for off-leash play. We would prefer to meet you and your pup first, but can be available for last-minute care. Free schools vacations and summers. Blueberry and I will be home 24/7 during your pup’s stay (except for maybe a quick run out for some food)!! I have a crate Blueberry doesn’t use if your pup would like that option. Blueberry and I can offer endless love and attention. We have lick mats, kongs, snuffle mats and about 500 toys.
4. Julia Z.
“Julia was great. I loved that she texted pictures of the girls so I could have a worry-free vacation and know they were doing well. I will definitely use her again in the future! Thanks, Julia!”
5. Patti B.
“Patti took such good care of our boy for a whole month. We wouldn’t leave him with anyone else for that long. She and her pack are the best! He was so loved and at home there and came back to us happy and healthy. Thanks, Patti!”
6. Shawna B.
“Shawna was awesome! I was gone for 5.5 weeks and she took excellent care of my two dogs- mini poodle and King Charles spaniel. She is loving, attentive, followed my instructions perfectly, and sent photos. I trust her implicitly with my pets!!”
7. Elissa L.
“Elissa was great! She kept us updated with how our dog was doing while we were on vacation with texts and photos! Our dog had a great time and we’re glad to have someone we can count on to take care of our pet!”
8. Heidi H.
“Heidi was so responsive when I needed a nearly last minute sitter for Remy, my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I bought an RV and have traveled with 3 dogs before (my Remy, new Yorkie pup, and Courtney’s amazingly trained and smart Border Collie). I looked at the camp grounds and hiking trails we’d be doing and knew Remy would not be a good fit for the trip. See, Maine is ROCKY, and Remy loves to obsess and bark at rocks. Hmmm. Yeah. I don’t get it either. Anyhoo, we left him in Heidi’s care, thinking it would be a vaca for him, too. It was the first time he was left with anyone but close friends we knew overnight. It was so hard to leave him, but Heidi sent pics and updates. At the end of our trip I was dropping the RV off for service in Hatfield and then picking up Remy. I wasn’t able to drop off the RV, and absolutely couldn’t have made it to Heidi’s with it, so I had to call my daughter to come get him from Greenfield. That meant a later than agreed upon pick up, but she was very gracious. My boy came home happy. Thanks, Heidi!”
9. Yvette T.
“Yvette took fantastic care of our dog. Her communication was excellent before, during and after our dog's stay. She sent us photos, gave our dog her meds, made sure she felt at ease, and even made it possible for our young dog to play with another neighbor's dog in her fenced backyard. I would hire her services again and also highly recommend her to others.”
10. Jessica C.
“They we're great with Ranger! I received updates and pictures each day about how Ranger was doing and any antics he was up to. Lots of walks were taken and i really appreciated the help and flexibility to work with my schedule. Ranger came home happy and tired from all his excitement!”
11. Kim A.
“Kim saved us!! We needed a last minute sitter and she came through! She was such a pleasure to work with and took such great care of our pups ❤️”
12. Anna O.
“Anna has great energy and is really sweet with my big boy Blinksy-o. 10/10 would recommend that you let Anna hang out with your dog!”
13. Aliana B.
“Aliana was an amazing caretaker. She took aura and treated her as her. She gave me daily post and updates of activities. I fully recommend her! You will not be disappointed!”
14. Amad E.
“Absolutely perfect experience with Amad for Leo, our terrier, and peace of mind for us! Leo went on 4 walks/day, played with toys and slept on couches. Leo is 14, adopted and has fear aggression and separation anxiety so he isn’t an average pet. By the 1st night Leo was sleeping on Amad ! I can’t say enough! Leo and us have a new favorite friend!”

About: My work background is in social services, and I bring the same amount of care, empathy, and respect whether I'm working with people or animals. For years friends and family friends have trusted me to look after their furry family members and home while they're on vacation, or to last minute help them out with a dog walk when they're in a bind. I am also one of Dakin Animal Shelter's foster parents; it has been such a joy to provide animals with a safe space for rehabilitation. I am currently working for myself, so my schedule is very flexible and I have lots of free time to spend connecting with and caring for cats and dogs. I am a detail oriented and conscientious person, so I will ask the necessary questions for me to correctly process and understand the information you provide about your animal and your home. It's important that I have clarity and confidence about the requirements of the job instead of relying on assumptions and my "best guess". So I am always honest about if I don't understand something or have further questions about your animals needs. Though I am very intuitive and have reliable judgment, I know that every animal is different and every parent chooses to parent differently, so it's important to me that I stick to the routine that is most effective for this specific pet's comfort and safety.
17. Alyssa S.
“Smudge and Alyssa were a match made in heaven. My wife and I were very pleased with the entire experience. Alyssa was wonderful with us and our dog.”
18. Raven E.
“Raven was a god send! She came and cared for our dog, Lucy a poodle mix while we were home than stayed to cared for her while we where gone for 7 days. During which time Lucy got in some nice walks around, hung out at cafe outings with her and in general, had some nice interaction and things to do while we were gone. Lucy got feed regularly and most importantly of all received love and attention ! We would definitely have Raven care for our dog again! We felt complety safe with her in our home. The great thing about Raven was that you can tell she genuinely cares about your pet and is very chill.”
19. Ben N.
“Ben took such wonderful care of my dog while I was out of town. From the many photos and videos that he shared it’s clear that he really loves dogs and genuinely enjoys caring for them. My dog got to socialize with other dogs and was taken on many walks/adventures with Ben. He’s probably didn’t want to come home - it’s more fun at Ben’s house!”
