About Lauren

2 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hi, I'm Lauren and I'd love to watch your dog! My boyfriend and I live together in a one bedroom apartment (no stairs) in quiet Twin Peaks. After losing our senior dog to cancer earlier this year, we'd love to have some dogs in our home again.

Currently, we do not have any pets other than a few fish in a small tank. I work at a non-profit and my boyfriend works in online advertising, but in my spare time, I volunteer at Muttville Senior Dog Rescue.

Your dog can hang out wherever s/he'd like in our place. We even have a balcony that our dog used to love sitting on and gazing at the view. You'll see him in one of the photos; he really liked to sit out there and look back in at us! Your dog will never be left unattended on the balcony or have access without supervision.

I only watch one dog per stay (however, if you have two dogs in your family I am OK with watching them together!). I only do DogVacay on days I know we will be home, so your furry friend will only be left unattended inside the apartment for very short periods of time (max 1 hour), unless previously agreed upon otherwise. I can take your dog for walks around the neighborhood, Glen Canyon or even to Golden Gate Park! My boyfriend and I both have cars for transport, so let me know if you'd like me to do drop off/pick up. Since I plan to be home watching your dog, I can take him/her out to do their business as many times as you feel is fit for them. I'm looking forward to providing a wonderful experience for your pup!

We were lucky enough to have Lauren watch our dogs over a long weekend. We have two extremely shy dogs. It can be hard to find sitters willing to take introductions as slowly as the dogs want them to. It was clear from Lauren's messages and pictures that Lauren really cared about the pups, and was taking the time to "woo" the dogs. Batman LOVED spending time with Lauren and her beau. While Pumpernickel remained aloof it was clear that it wasn't because of anything Lauren was doing. I would absolutely have Lauren dog sit again. With a little more time I expect Pumpernickel would go from "aloof" to "velcro dog". Thank you Lauren for loving on our dogs while we were away!
