About Dianne

50 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I have been taking care of dogs 50+ years, having bred and shown my Collies in the past and have had dogs all my life. I am a retired CNA and am home most of the time and I know how to give shots and medications and can do special needs. I have no problem with insulin injections. I have 1 gentle Collie and 4 indoor only cats of my own and they get along very well with each other. I am very concerned about the comfort and happiness of your dog and will provide the dependable care and attention that he/she requires. If you are local I require a meet and greet prior to boarding so you can see where they will be staying and ask me any questions you may have and I can make sure everyone will get along.

My house is very secure and has a large, fenced-in backyard so the dogs can run free and play. This is a kennel free home unless you crate your dog in your own home, whereupon you will need to provide me with your dog's crate. The house itself has tile floors throughout in case of accidents. There is a toy box with toys in the living room for playing indoors. Your dog will be a part time family member and taken care of as if he/she were my own.

I am happy to stay in close contact with you with pictures and emails so you can have complete confidence that your dog is being well taken care of and is as happy as can be.

I have my own transportation, in case of emergency, and have a valid drivers' license to drive it.

I do ask that you provide food, food bowls and vet info, if local, and any bedding or special toys your dog uses. All dogs must be current on rabies vaccinations and flea/heartworm meds, as is mine.

This was our first time using DogVacay and also our first time leaving our dogs with someone else. Dianne was fantastic. She had a great yard for the pups to run around and they were allowed to just make themselves at home. She sent us pictures during the stay which was super nice. We booked during a holiday so it was very appreciated that she took her time to watch our babies while still spending time with her daughter.

Dianne is great. She always does great job of taking care of my dogs. They have been stressed at other places, but always seem happy with Dianne.
Dianne is very pleasant and patient. She took very good care of Yogi and gave me updates. I'll use her again.
Captain had such a great time with Diane and her other canines that he didn't want to come home.

Bailey & Dakota spent a long weekend with Dianne. She kept me updated & sent pictures. When I picked them up they were happy & very tired that night! I will definitely use her again.
Dianne was very quick to respond to my reservation request with a request for a meet and greet. We took our 5 month old dalmatian to Dianne's house and stayed for over 1 1\2 hours. While her house is small, the backyard was HUGE and looked to be a perfect fit for our puppy. During our visit, we explained that our puppy was very energetic and needed lots of socialization. We also told her that he did not like to be left outside alone, but did well if he was supervised.

July 8th, we dropped off our puppy around 4:00 p.m. At 8:32 a.m. the next morning, I received an email from Dianne saying "God I hate to do this, but this just isn't working." REALLY?? 16 hours!! You cannot imagine the stress and anxiety that this caused!! Dianne's complaints centered on our puppy's energy level and size. Shouldn't this have been evident in the meet and greet???? She also claimed that "They barked last night well past midnight..." Luckily, a good friend was able to help out and rescue our pup. When she went to pick him up, she noted several other caged dogs barking incessantly while our puppy sat quietly in his crate.

I am VERY disappointed in this host. I was assured by the company that this is not the norm, and my money was completely refunded (including the 16 hour stay with Dianne which was the least she could do under the circumstances).

I would NOT suggest this host unless you have a very small dog with low energy levels.

Thank you so much Diane! Our energetic rescue rat terrier had a great stay and will hopefully return for another stay. I am sure he thought he was being rehomed again so he was quite anxious! I know that when he returns he will enjoy his stay and I will enjoy her regular updates! Skipper was very comfortable at Dianes and loved the huge yard. She went above and beyond comforting him with the fireworks!

You can tell Dianne is an animal person. When I dropped off Mahala with her for the long weekend, it felt like dropping her off with family. I've already recommended her and this website to two other families. Thank you taking great care of her and keeping us informed while we were gone.

Dianne was great with keeping me informed of what was going on through Daisy's stay. I love the backyard and knowing she had plenty of toys and opportunity to be outside. I will definitely be booking again.
We LOVE Dianne and appreciate her love towards Chazz. We appreciate the photos while were gone as well.
Dianne was very sweet. Thank you so much for being nice and understandable!
She was great with our dog; very accomodating and went out of her way when Mulder wouldn't eat, etc. Definitely will go to her again when the need arises.
This is the 4th time we've had our dogs stay with Dianne and, as always, we couldn't be happier. She genuinely has both of our dog's best interest in mind. For example, she remembered that Mia is scared of loud noises, and since we were out of town for New Year's Eve, she mentioned she had a "thundershirt" she'd like to try for Mia to see if it helps her stay calm. Very thoughtful and appreciated. Dianne also sends pictures daily, which is great peace of mind for us! We are so glad we found Dianne!

Dianne made Zahn feel right at home. She emailed pictures and updates every day. She even has a stash of extra toys. Zahn was sad to leave!
This is the second time that Diane has cared for our 18 year old westie. She is extremely reliable and did an excellent job getting our finicky old girl to eat. I did not have to worry because I knew she was in good hands. Diane treats all of the dogs like members of her family and really goes the extra mile in providing lots of TLC.

Dianne was a very kind host to Gypsy. She kept me informed with pictures and comments.
Dianne did a great job of caring for our 18 year old Westie who is blind and hard of hearing. We were worried at first that Maddie would be distressed and not eat but Dianne came up with some very creative ideas to get our very picky old girl to chow down. She also sent us daily updates and photos that made us smile and eased our minds. We knew she was in good hands! Maddie loved to wander in the big fenced in back yard and we are already planning to book a 3 week "DoggieVacay" for Maddie in May.

Dianne is an excellent host; I would highly recommend her. She took my 10-month-old pup, Navi, last-minute and gave her outstanding one-on-one care. Dianne makes it a priority to be at home when she's dog-sitting, so you can rest assured that your little one is being watched over at all times. She also has a nice-sized backyard and a friendly Collie that will make your pup's experience and enjoyable one.

I am so glad I found Dianne. It was like sending Hunter to summer camp. He had other campers to romp and stomp with, new places to sniff, a comfortable place to lay his head, and tasty treats. Dianne emailed a note and photos each day which helped my separation anxiety. I am very happy with my experience and will definitely schedule with Dianne again. Thank you so much.

Once again Dianne took wonderful care of my furbabies. There was homemade treats and lots of attention. Even the early morning and all day barking at storms was cheerfully handled.

This was Tea's (a lab) second visit to Dianne. He was joined this time by my little chihuahua. Both were happy, and tell me they would be happy to go stay with Dianne in the future if I need a place for them.
Dianne has hosted our two dogs for "DogVacay" on two occasions now. Beowulf LOVES her big back yard and Clarkie loves hanging with Dianne in the house.

She sent photos mid-stay and let us know how they were doing.

We will definitely use Dianne again!

Tea seemed quite content staying with Dianne. When I came to pick him up he was healthy and happy. Tea much prefers being outside to inside, and Dianne has a nice large fenced yard he was able to spend a lot of time in. Dianne sent a nice picture and message every day so I could see how he was doing. I would deffinately use Dianne again.
