I've lived with various breeds my entire life, including the "aggressive" kind. We recently lost our family dog and would like to provide love and affection to other pups that need a temporary home away from home. We are on the second floor, thereby making it a difficult climb for dogs that can't ambulate very well. Our pup had severe allergies, a special diet, and periodic wounds that needed bandage changes multiple times per day. Making us well prepared for pups with special needs. We do have two cats that like to lay out in the open. We'd prefer dogs that can ignore the urge to chase them. Our building is incredibly dog-friendly - there's a St. Bernard and medium mix nextdoor, a sweet pit upstairs, a dane and mini-huskie across the way. The neighborhood is also very dog friendly. Your dog will have ample room to move around to just be a dog, in our home and at the park on the next block. We have pup bedding (multiple blankets, 2 med-large beds, and a twin futon), a medium crate, and bowls. Feel free to bring whatever they need in addition to their own food and treats.
