I have a 15-year-old border collie (Bones), in great health for his age, but he has problems with his back legs and is therefore prone to falling. He also has some quirky traits, and is not much of a pack dog. Bottom line, I am very careful with whom I leave him -- it's important that his caretaker understands his limits and routine and really pay attention to him. Denitsa and her husband, Ves, are both not only good with dogs on an instinctual level, but they understand that each dog has it's own personality, needs and limits. I have no worries when I leave Bones with them. As I mentioned, my dog is a loner, but he actually seems to enjoy being with Izzy and Rico -- they're pretty much his only dog friends! I also am comfortable leaving Denitsa and Ves to care for Bones at my home, as a close friend worked with Ves for several years at a local bakery, and I know he and Dentsa are responsible and trustworthy. I feel really fortunate to have meet them for those times I need to go off island, or just need some extra help!
