About Aaron

12 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
If you want someplace safe and chill to bring your little buddies while you work, you've found the right place. I have a large, fenced yard with shade and a dog door for them to come and go as they please. I worked for several years at Rex and Roxy's doggie daycare so I'm experienced with feeding and controlling groups of dogs all day. I'm very pleased to work with any special conditions that might arise, given 24 hours notice. My house is at the end of a dead end street, and I have no other occupants besides myself to worry about, if you want to bring them here, There's virtually no chance of trouble from neighborhood animals or other people stressing them out. I am very physically active and very good at tiring them out on walks. If I have to do computer work, I can sit in the backyard or on the porch while they run free. I work on my laptop for about 2-3 hours a day. I would take them to Dearborn Animal Hospital in case of emergencies (1/2 mile away). I go up to the mountains to camp occasionally, but scheduling is generally not an issue. I try to respond within a few minutes.

I was hesitant to write this review, but feel like I need to speak out to help protect anyone else who may trust the reviews.

We left our two dogs with Aaron while we went out of state. He never sent us any follow-up pictures or updates, and with Aaron while we went out of state. He never sent us any follow-up pictures or updates, and eventually stated that his phone wasn't working, and that others had the same problem. DogVacay said there was no problem with their system. It was a nerve-wracking experience.

When I arrived home, I wanted to pick them up that night, since I literally hadn't been given any updates, and he was not at the house. When I finally got ahold of him, he stated he was out at a concert, and he would be home soon. I went over to his house when he stated he would be home, and he wasn't there. I could see SEVERAL dogs inside - many more than he assured me were staying there.

When I called him, he stated that he was stranded and he wouldn't be home until morning(!) - I offered to come pick him up so that I could get my dogs. I felt like he does this often, but since no one shows up early, no one catches him.

When I finally got my dogs, I noticed that they were clearly not watched very well, as they had developed sores on both of their feet, and were licking constantly. They needed to both be put on antibiotics and steroids. I will say - DogVacay did an excellent job with their phone support.

Things that you should consider: WAY over his head with that many dogs. Lacks Judgement. F on communication.

Ellie had a great time here! Aaron and Jamie are obviously very good with dogs and took great care of her while we were away. They even helped with a last minute change, and we're thankful we found them!
The dog was in good shape and as active as usual
