6 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Currently not accepting new clients
(If you've booked with me before, please feel free to reach out again! Thank you!)

Hi, I'm Liz and I have been in DC for over one year now. I love meeting new dog friends in the city, and every time I pet a dog it brightens my day! I truly love pup company and would love to meet yours! I am available all times and days of the week for dog sitting, and my going rate is $40 overnight dog sitting.

I have lots of experience with dogs so I'm sure your dog(s) and I would get along just fine! I am always happy to do a meet-and-greet at your convenience first to make sure we are compatible. My experience includes:
- walking
- overnight sits
- administering oral and topical medication
- caring for epileptic dogs
- caring for dogs recovering from surgeries and in cones/needing bandage care
- basic training
- caring for puppies
- caring for aggressive dogs

I don't judge! I love dogs of all shapes and sizes, and have cared for the following breeds so far: - shepherds
- labs
- golden retrievers
- boxers
- beagles
- poodles
- weimaraners
- Belgian malinois
- huskies
- akitas
- dalmations
- collies
- Frenchies
- Boston Terriers
- pit bulls
- vizslas
- whippets
- a dingo (yes, really!)
- foxhounds
- ...and all sorts of mutts

I have experience using:
- e-collars
- prong collars
- martingale collars
- every kind of harness and leash including double-dog/coupler/tandem leashes
- muzzles and gentle leaders

If you have other pets in addition to dogs, like birds or cats, I am happy to care for them too at no additional cost.

Unfortunately, I do not offer overnight dog boarding in my own home. I can only dog sit and do overnights in the dog owner's home.

Please write or call with any questions you might have! I look forward to meeting you and your pup.

Liz loves my dog and looks forward to staying with him. She is always responsible, friendly, and so clean!
Liz did a fantastic job for us. She sent photos of the dogs though out the day and kept in contact as needed. Plus she is just a sweet girl you loved our dogs for us while we were out. Hight recommend her and we will have her watch the pups again.
Liz was fabulous with our 4-year-old Belgian Malinois. In addition to her usual sending pictures and updates daily by text, Liz was willing and enthusiastic about learning and practicing commands specific to our dog. Our pup can be a handful, and Liz was so positive about the visit.
Liz was the best! We utilized Liz's services via in-home boarding. She came to meet our two very energetic pit mixes a few days before her stay at the house. They immediately went to say hi and wanted to play with her, which gave me the comfort that I needed and them the familiarity that they did. Liz kept us up today via text and pictures throughout the trip which showed me that the pups had a blast with her. We have already booked another stay and I'm sure the dogs are looking forward to the visit.
Liz was wonderful!! She took such great care of my dog and my apartment. She sent lots of updates and pictures, which I loved! And she left my apartment in perfect condition. During our meet and greet, Liz asked questions about my dog's normal routine and behavior, likes and dislikes. I could tell she really cared about providing the best possible experience for my pup. I would HIGHLY recommend her!!
Elizabeth was wonderful with our dog! We got constant pictures and updates which helped ease our mind while we were gone. She kept our dog on his normal schedule and made sure he was well exercised and loved! She took great care of our home and we will definitely be asking her to take care of our dog in the future :)
Liz was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs (who can both be a bit weird). She sent us multiple updates a day while we were gone and it was clear our girls were having the best time! She was very flexible and willing to entertain all of my ridiculous dog mom tendencies. We loved her and will absolutely be looking to her next time we are out of town!
Liz was fantastic! This was our first dogvacay experience and we were really anxious (to say the least) about leaving our only baby. He has a little separation anxiety and when we go out of town we always try to leave him with our parents. We would drive up to NJ even if it was out of the way just to drop him off so we would have peace of mind. This will no longer be the case! We are so happy we tried this site and worked with Liz!! She is clearly so knowledgeable and loving of dogs. We had a meet and greet and Conner took to her immediately. We didn't really know what to ask and she was great about asking all the details of his day, mannerisms, quirks, etc. While we were away we got lots of updates which always put a smile on our faces. When we got home Conner was happy and healthy and our house was in perfect condition! We will definitely reach out to Liz next time we need a sitter. Thanks so much for everything, Liz!
Elisabeth is the best! My girl Minnie loves her!
Liz was fantastic. We have a pup who can be difficult with eating and other dogs, but Liz was attentive to our detailed instructions, asked good questions and gave us a steady stream of updates and photos. We're sure she also gave our little girl plenty of love. We highly recommend her.
Elisabeth is great! I'm always nervous about leaving my dog, and Elisabeth calms my fears with her frequent updates.
My dog Minnie is special needs, and I feel 100% comfortable having Liz take care of her when I can't.
Liz was amazing! This is the first time my husband and I used DogVacay for our two dogs and we are very happy with the results. We were gone for 2 weeks and Liz kept us updated with photos and emails and was a lovely house guest! Highly recommend!
I can't say enough about Liz - she was perfect! She stayed at our place for the weekend and took excellent care of our pup. She sent lots of pictures and always responded quickly when we checked in. We rarely travel without Reecey so it can be stressful for all of us, but Reecey was able to stay home and keep her usual routine and it was absolutely not stressful this time around. I couldn't be happier with how things went.
Liz is an absolute sweetheart. Our dog Zooey can be a lot to handle and she was so patient and loving, I felt confident leaving her for the night. Liz checked in after all of their walks and even sent photo updates. I would definitely use Liz again! Highly recommended.
