About K Mariah

10 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Im currently working as a Veterinary Tech at VCA Bonita Animal Hospital full time.
I have been in the Veterinary field for almost 10 years now. Im experienced & able to medicate oral & injectable treatments if needed. In the hospital i work at, we board pets so i have a clear understanding of how stressful it can be on the animals, especially for those who have special needs. So reassurement that your pet can remain at home is far more better spending their days in cages while you go on vacation. If you have more than one kind of pet at home like pocket pets, fish, or cats..i would be glad to care for them as well.

This is our second time to have Mariah stay at our place, and it went incredibly well! No problems at all, and I know our dog and cat appreciated having someone they already knew.
Mariah stayed at our home for five days, very capably taking care of our menagerie of four dogs, one cat, and too many plants to count! She was quick to communicate any concerns and sent us photos to help us know that everyone was doing okay at home. We will happily use her again the next time we need someone to take care of all our furry family members.
As always, Mariah was amazing! Both my dogs love going on "vacays" to see her! I hate leaving my dogs but I feel so at ease leaving them with her & I even get updates, which I absolutely love. She is our "go to" person in San Diego.
Mariah is AMAZING! I booked with her for over Christmas to go home to Florida with my husband. We have a black lab (Stark) & an Italian Greyhound Mix (Pepper). They are my babies & this was the first time using DogVacay so I was a little nervous handing my pups over to a stranger but to board them at our vet was just SO expensive. I would much rather them have the personal attention of a home setting.

Mariah was quick to respond and her background in the Veterinary field made me feel at ease. We booked with her and we set up a meet and greet at her apartment to make sure that she was the right one, and also, to make sure that our dogs would get along with her Boxer, Ali.

After a few territorial marks here between Stark and Ali, they were already playing with each other in the short time that we were there. After meeting with Mariah and Ali, I felt more than comfortable leaving my pups with her.

Throughout our trip Mariah sent us pictures (even some festive ones on Christmas!) and let me know that they were fine and that they were behaving themselves. I missed my pups and those sweet texts brought a smile to my face knowing my pups were also enjoying themselves!

When we picked them up, Mariah had everything ready to go and helped us downstairs with the dogs. She went above and behind and was wonderful to my babies! I would highly recommend her for your fur babies' vacay needs. Thanks Mariah for welcoming our dogs into your home and taking such great care of them while they were away! I'm sure they will be back to visit soon! :)
Mariah is the first pet sitter we had and our first experience with Dog Vacay. Of course we had our doubts because she didn't have any reviews written but our doubts were quickly removed when we met her in person. We are so glad that we crossed paths with her because she is AWESOME!

Before Cinnamon had her sleepover with Mariah, we requested a meet-and-greet since Mariah had a resident dog, Ali the boxer. Mariah made time to meet with us at a local park. At first Cinnamon was barking and lunging but somehow Mariah was able to calm her down and introduce her to Ali.

We were concerned about leaving our fur baby since she is a very anxious dog but for some reason, Mariah was able to get her relaxed and comfortable. She was very responsive prior to and during Cinnamon's stay with her. Mariah was able to ease our fears by keeping the lines of communication open and sending us texts/pictures of Cinnamon enjoying herself.

MARIAH HAS THE MAGIC TOUCH! Let me share a story with you. We had Cinnamon boarded previously and knowing how anxious she was, I asked the staff if they could TRY to have her in group play with other dogs. They attempted and said she was unable to (because of her anxiety and fear) so they spent one-on-one time with her instead.

Mariah was able to keep Cinnamon relaxed. She was able to walk Cinnamon with Ali - which is truly AMAZING since we have not been able to walk Cinnamon without her lunging and barking at other dogs. Even when we picked Cinnamon up the next morning, she seemed to be a completely calm dog and at peace with her surroundings. We were AMAZED!!

We would LOVE to have Mariah take care of our fur babies in the future!
