About David

12 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I absolutely love dogs, I got my first dog at the age of 10, a Golden Retriever named Maple, and from that moment on dogs became my passion. This past spring Maple passed away, and now I'm looking to help other people with their dogs while I'm in college and can't have another dog of my own till I graduate. I have 10+ years of experience taking care of dogs. I can clean up their waste, bathe them, walk them, and do basic training. I can take care of large dogs that may be compelled to run away when on a walk, as well as small dogs that may not be comfortable walking more than a few steps. I can do anything from a leisurely walk just for a little bit of exercise and movement in the dogs day to an aggressive run for the more high energy dog breeds that have that energy buildup throughout the day. If you’re dog isn’t trained to run but you want them to be, I can work with them so that they develop a gait that will match yours and make it comfortable to run or jog with your dog. I have experience with walking dogs on busy roads as well as walking them on wooded trails. I have walked up to 4 dogs at a time and that is as many as I would be comfortable taking at one time. I can handle bigger dogs that may be a bit tempted to try and jerk the leash and run away. I really just love walking dogs, it’s great exercise for me and them, even if it's just going on a short walk with a toy dog. Dogs have been a big part of my life for a long time and now that my own dog is gone I’d love to give other dogs a few minutes of freedom in their day. If you aren’t able to get out with your dog daily and they need to get that bit of exercise in their lives, I’d love to help make that possible. I also have extensive experience taking care of cats and cleaning up after them if you are looking for a cat friendly individual!
