Hello, My name is Krissy. My husband, Zak, and I would love to watch your four-legged companion! I have been an animal lover all my life. At Darlings Dog Care, your pup is treated like a member of our family! We have two dogs of our own, both are male Italian Greyhounds, and one female cat; they are our world. Every dog is treated equally, meaning one does not get treats, attention, and nurturing unless everyone does. We are very accommodating to every need of your pets: special needs, oral and topical medications, or other requests. We also offer bathing so they can be squeaky clean for their return home from their own vacation. A bonus to booking with us is that you can personally check on your furry friends through Petcube camera, per request. Petcube is an interactive pet camera that lets you watch, talk to and play with your pets from your smartphone when you’re away.
Last minute bookings are welcome too; we are here for you for that unexpected trip you have to take out of town. For their stay to be enjoyable, your pet's luggage should include food with feeding schedule, leashes, collar with updated tag, favorite bedding, and any of their special comfort items. Book your dog's next vacation with peace of mind knowing that it will be well cared for and a part of our family!
More About Us:
Zak and I have been together for 8 years now. We have no kids, other than our fur babies. Currently, I am working from home as a pet sitter and an artist. I work mostly in acrylic paintings, watercolor, colored pencil, sculpting, and also sewing. More of my hobbies include going to the dog park, biking with my dogs, gardening, researching anything related to dogs and cats, home decor, shopping, pc gaming, and just general nerdy stuff. Zak works as an IT for the Navy. With that being said, if you are in need of a sitter who has access to the Tinker Air Force Base, I'm your girl. In March, we moved back to Oklahoma and bought our first home. We came here from Jacksonville, FL where we spent 2 years. If it wasn't for Okc being so close to majority of our families, we would've absolutely stayed in FL. It is a beautiful city and we loved everything about it.
As mentioned we have a gorgeous white haired cat, with one eye blue and the other green; she has been with us for 8 years now. Her name is Casper, my husband believed she was a boy when he got her and decided to keep the name. These days, we actually call her Taps. It's her nickname because she was born deaf and we tap on things to get her attention and talk to her. She spends most of her time sleeping and keeping to herself. We have a room in the home sectioned off for her where she can retreat when we have guests. Taps is friendly but being deaf puts her on high alert in those situations. Having the secluded room allows her to relax if she is not feeling up to dealing with new people or animals.
Winston is the older of our two dogs. We got him from an elderly couple in Norfolk, VA when he was 1 year and a half. At that time we just moved to a new city and the military life was fairly new to me. I would often be alone and not knowing many people. So I sought companionship, more than an independent cat could give. That's when we adopted Winston. He is such a smart boy, he understands more than you would expect a dog to. Brave is another way I would describe him. He is also such a people person. I can not tell you how many people, that we meet at the dog park, want to take him home with them.
Bosco is my sweetest little heart. The way I see our relationship is there is an invisible string linked between the two of us. It only goes so far before he hurries back to my side. We got Bosco when he was 4 months old. There is a saying with Italian Greyhound owners. "You can't have just one." Bosco just has a way of completing the people he is close with. Winston would not be the same without his brother. Zak relies on their "good morning" petting sessions. And I wouldn't know what to do with myself. He was also the first animal that Taps ever really fully let her guard down around; It really helped that he is a very low energy dog. Another thing I love about him is that he never misses a chance to play. The moment he hears a toy, he is up and ready to go. He loves when we play chase.
That is my family in a nutshell. I hope that you allow your fur babies be a part of our family. We will treat them as our own.
