Pet care experience
I helped my mom raise our family's two Shar Peis at home, now ages 5 and 9. I also had a Pitbull rescue. They are the absolute best! I recently rescued a cat named Fiona (or Otis, depending on her hilarious antics at the moment) who truly believes she's a dog. I have dog sat for my friend's Irish Wolfhound and cared for a friend's Hound rescue multiple times. I'd love to take care of your fur babies, too! Both of these happy pups are in my profile pics, as well as my kitty, Fiona, in the last pic. :) I'd love you meet you and your fuzzy friend and make sure they have all of the love and attention they need while you're away! I'll take care of cats and more in addition to dogs. I even have experience with snakes. :) Fiona gets along well with dogs and cats. She is a rescue and was rescued with the Hound mentioned above who was about 35 pounds. Mostly she just wanted to chase his wagging tail, so if your pup does ok with kitties, it'll have a playmate for when I am caring for your fur baby. :)

Danielle is not just my friend personally, but also an excellent dog walker and sitter. On numerous occasions she has helped me out in a pinch by offering to watch my scruffy 70 lb mutt, Dylan. He loves her and looks forward to her visits and their playtime. I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs assistance with dogs!

I really like to know about a dog's personality before I spend one on one time with them. Have you had your dog since it was a puppy? Is it a rescue? Are there any toy aggression issues? Any bad habits that I should be aware of? What are your dog's reining commands? How do you scold your dog for poor behavior/reward your dog for good behavior? How does your dog interact with others dogs/people/kids? How are they on a leash? Is it safe for me to take your dog to a dog park and take them off the leash with other dogs around? Anything your dog might be afraid of? Anything that they are absolutely crazy in love with? I have no problems with any breeds of dog so long as your dog and I get along and they are responsive.
A typical day
For walks, I will take your dog out around town. I enjoy taking dogs to dog parks if there is one near by. Perhaps they have a lot of energy that day and want to run around or play fetch, or maybe they just want to sit in a little patch of sun by a coffee shop and get some fresh air. For home visits, I will ensure that your pup has whatever food and water they require, gets in a bit of some playtime and some well deserved belly rubs.
