I used to have a Border Collie / German Shepherd mix for over 11 years until he passed away. I'm now anxious to have another dog in my life. My schedule is pretty variable so it's not too practical for me to get my own, but sitting others' dogs without the decade-long commitment would be ideal. I live in a semi-detached house with a frontyard & backyard, and only a 3-minute walk to Eglinton Park.
I prefer medium-large dogs (e.g. labs, retrievers, collies, shepherds, etc.) but am also fine with the smaller breeds, provided the dog (whatever breed/size) is fully housebroken. I'm fine with the dogs sleeping on the couch, beds, carpets, wherever, as long as they don't do their 'business' on them as well.
I'm a lawyer and my home is my main office. I sometimes have to go to court in the morning but am usually back by noon or so and then stay at home the rest of the day. Less frequently, I have trials which last the full day, though I'd still be able to walk/feed the dog in the morning & afternoon. If I work late nights, it would be from my house so no issues there. Any other questions just ask!
