I live in a spacious house in a great neighborhood. We have plenty of couches to lounge on, windows to stalk squirrels through, and a medium-size fenced grassy backyard to play in.
I am a part-time college student, and the longest I am out of the house is about 4 hours. I take dogs in my care on walks every day, with extra playtime in my fenced backyard. The fence is only 2 feet tall on one side, so not ideal for escape artists. In the interest of keeping my family and neighbors happy, dogs that I care for must not bark excessively, and must be house-trained!
I have cared for puppies and seniors, deaf and blind dogs, and dogs with physical limitations. My profile indicates that I only accept dogs under 20 pounds, but this only applies to new clients. Please note that several of my existing clients are larger (20-100 lbs), and friendly with small dogs.
The dogs have free access to the entire first floor, and are welcome on the couches! At night, your dog can sleep in his crate, dog bed, my bed, or the couch. I utilize baby gates and exercise pens to prevent door dashing, separate the dogs during meal times, and time outs if two dogs aren't getting along.
We have a smoke-free home, no resident children, and no cats. I usually watch anywhere between 1 and 6 dogs at a time, and from multiple families. Weekends and holidays are usually busy! No crates required, though you are welcome to bring one.
