About Jackie

18 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
** Pet First Aid Certified**

Being born into a family of animal lovers and Great Dane breeders, I learned that there is nothing better than the love from a pet. I always wanted to work with animals, but my life took a different route. After having gone to University to study Music Education, I realized music was not for me, and I left University not really knowing what I wanted to do. Being so good with people led me to working in customer service oriented jobs, and for the past 6 years I have had the great pleasure of being the Office Administrator for a wonderful tutoring company that caters to children with learning disabilities. Out of my group of friends and co-workers, I have been the designated pet sitter for the past few years! After a short amount of time, it became more apparent how important it is to have pets stay in the comforts of their own home, with a caring and attentive person taking care of them, while their owners are away. It dawned on me that my dream of working professionally with animals can be a reality!

I strive to be attentive, reliable, affectionate, professional, and fun, when caring for pets! I also believe in having an affordable service,

I recognize that each pet is different, and I will customize your pet's care based on its' regular routine.

I mostly do pet sitting at the pet's home and can do overnight or two daily 30-60 minute visits. Included in the overnight and daily visits are home security checks:
-pick up mail
-complete a full walk through of the entire home
-check for leaks and any other equipment issues
-turn lights on and off and open and close curtains, to give a lived-in look
-water plants
Additional service costs: -weather dependent: will sweep snow from steps and drive way
-will water outdoor plants

I look forward to taking care of your furry critter and home!

Jackie is great! She is prompt with follow ups and I can tell she really likes to hang out with my dog, Sadie and keep her active. She updates me throughout the visits and takes care of everything - I think sometimes Sadie is more excited when I start packing then when I get home!

Sadie is a bit of a handful with other dogs, and Jackie handled that perfectly, and isn't shy to ask questions about food, medications, activity levels, vet contact details, etc to make sure she's prepared for whatever happens. She's great! She's overnight sat with Sadie quite a few times, and has been awesome each time - I look forward to using her service again when I'm back in Toronto.
