Coverage details

Coverage is valid for any and all pet services booked through, our mobile app and/or our Customer Care team.

DogVacay must be notified within 7 days at the end of the booked service regarding any incident that might result in insurance coverage.


Care, custody & control

This provides veterinary coverage for animals in Host’s care, custody and control.

  • $25,000 for Guest dog
  • $250 deductible covered by Guest per incident

Veterinary reimbursement for Host’s resident pet(s)

This covers $10,000 of veterinary care for Host’s resident animals that is a direct result of contact with a Guest dog.

Commercial general liability

General liability will pay those sums that Hosts become legally obligated to pay as damages because of Bodily Injury to a 3rd Party Person.

  • $2,000,000 per occurrence
  • $3,000,000 general aggregate
  • No deductible

Professional liability

Professional liability covers damage to Guest property arising out of the rendering, or failure to render, services of a pet-care provider.

Premium insurance example

A Guest pet on Vacay gets stung by a bee. After a call to DogVacay, it was decided the pet should visit a vet. With DogVacay Premium Insurance, the pet parent’s expenses are fully covered after the $250 deductible has been met, which we can automatically charge to the card on file. In this case, the
Guest ends up saving $300 on a $550 bill, and the pet has received the best care possible.

Coverage exceptions

Coverage does not include:

  • Host personal property
  • Pre-existing veterinary conditions or old age
  • Pet care provided outside of DogVacay
  • Injuries to pet sitter or Host and related parties
  • Meet-n-Greets
  • Congenital/hereditary exclusions
