I moved to Austin 3 years ago. I also travel home from time to time and have discovered boarding is very expensive and not the comforting atmosphere of home. I've decided I would like to do the same for other people and their dogs. I know how nerve-wracking it is to leave your little one(s) behind. I am off Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Everyday I am at work I come home an hour for lunch to let the dogs out. I'll keep you updated on how your dogs are doing and send pictures of them throughout their stay.
I live off Wells Branch Pkwy in North Austin and have many long trails just a short jog away. There are also dogs parks near by to visit as well. I do something just about everyday to keep them entertained and have lots of attention.
I have one small dog named Rondo-a 42 lb. beagle mix-He's very friendly and well-trained; he is good with other dogs, shy at first then very playful. He has all his current shots and is on flea and heartworm prevention monthly. I don't have any children. I am responsive and caring, and I am happy to take care of your little loved one while your gone.
**All dogs must be current on: vaccinations, heartworm medicine, flea and tick medicine, and (preferably) bordatella shots. Please confirm with me that your dog is up-to-date on all of his or her healthcare needs. You do not need to bring copies of the records- it's just helpful to hear that everything is up-to-date.**
I am very relaxed in that I allow them on the couch, bed, etc. to feel at home as much as possible, so if your pet is not, I will follow that and any other rules that you hold in your home. If you are trying to train your dog to learn a certain word or command, just let me know and we can work on it with him or her during the stay. As well as any medication or specific food needed, I can accommodate and administer during their stay.
