Please read all the information listed below, it will hopefully provide information that is needed to help you decide if our home is the best choice for your fur child.
Mike and I are doggie parents to a 10 year old, 80 lbs. Labrador/Border Collie, Bonnie. Macy, our sweet dog went to Heaven on 11.29.16.
Mike and I both work Monday through Friday, we will be gone from the house 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. M-Thurs. and 7:30 a.m.-noon on Fridays. Mike comes home during lunch to let the dogs out for a potty break. We allow the dogs to roam the house unless you tell us to crate them or put them in a separate room from our dogs
Mike and I do what we can to assist the dogs in experiencing the least amount of stress as possible. For example, if your dog(s) sleeps in the bed, they will sleep in our bed or if the dog(s) is/are scared of thunderstorms, we will arrange our schedules as much as we can to stay home with them during storms. Mike and I will not yell at or spank animals, we find no benefits in doing so, to us, doing such actions do more harm than good.
Both Mike and I are Pet CPR/First Aid Certified. I also have a certificate in Animal Psychology.
Mike and I will host one dog in addition to Bonnie. We will host more than one dog if the dogs are from the same household. We do this in hope of reducing the dogs' stress levels and to limit the possibility of doggy disagreements of occurring.
We do require doing a meet and greet before accepting reservations as this will be an opportunity to determine if the dogs get along and to allow your dog(s) to get comfortable with us.
Per Dogvacay guidelines, the fee, $26, is for a 24 hour period, Mike and I will allow an additional 6 hours for you to pick up your sweet dog. For example, if you book for one day and you drop your fur child off at Friday at 9 a.m., we ask that you pick him/her up Saturday by 3 p.m.
