Full Time Pet Sitter of 512

Pet care experience

*DOGGY HIKING ADVENTURES AVAILABLE - MESSAGE FOR DETAILS* While you are at work, away on a business trip, or vacationing, I am more than happy to care for your pets. I have been providing pet sitting services on Rover since August 2012. I have been vetted and gone through a background check - see badge on my profile. I am also trained in Pet Tech CPR and First Aid as safety is one of my TOP priorities in providing exceptional pet care. I offer a complimentary meet and greet before your booking to become acquainted with you and your pets. This meet and greet is beneficial to ensure I am the right fit for you and your pets. My name is Rebecca Roa and I am thirty-two years old. I am a third-generation Deaf in my family and I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). I have residual hearing, however; I can speak clearly and communicate effectively with all individuals - this does not interfere with my abilities to care for pets whatsoever. I completed my Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Gallaudet University, located in Washington, D.C. During my time there, I have volunteered with People. Animals. Love. (PAL) as part of a Pet Visiting Team with my dog, Rocco (Yorkshire terrier).

Rebecca is always amazing! We’re so happy to have her stay with our fur babies anytime we’re away.

Rebecca is the best! Our more anxious dog usually takes a day or two to get used to someone new feeding them but she ate normally from the first day. Rebecca took great care of our dogs, sent lots of updates (including the best pics of our dogs we’ve ever gotten), and took great care of our home while we were out of town. 10/10 would rebook 🙌

Rebecca was the best! She took amazing care of our dog and cats and gave us so much piece of mind while we were away. Our dog needs daily medication for seizures and is a little anxious, but Rebecca sent us daily pictures and videos of him happily playing and cuddling. She was extremely responsive since before coming to our house and guided us through the process as we were new to Rover. She also left the house in impeccable shape. We are happy to have finally found someone this good to care for our pet family for future trips!

***I do accommodate pets that require special care due to age, chronic illnesses, post-surgical recovery, and/or other medical reasons. I will treat your pets as my own and greatly understand the importance of your pets' needs. With me, your pets are in gentle, caring, and experienced hands! My experience administering medication: I am very comfortable in administering medications due to my many experiences, such as administering injections, using an inhaler, giving pills (by mouth, in food, pocket pills, etc.), administering cream in the ears or on the body, eye/ear drops, etc.

Information Rebecca R. would like to know about your pet

It’s necessary to know about any special needs your pets may have, ranging from dietary restrictions to behavioral concerns. I am very accommodating, and with your help, will provide the best care possible for special needs. Please include the following in your care instructions and/or inquiry: - Allergies (food/environmental) - Toy or treat restrictions - History of destructive behavior - History of reactivity (such as barking/lunging on leash, guarding food or toys, or uncontrollable excitement) - History of separation anxiety In case of an emergency, I would like to have your veterinarian's contact information (name, phone numbers, address) on hand. Being well informed helps me to provide a comfortable stay/visit for your pets, and ensures our time together goes as smoothly as possible.

A typical day

Attention: Are you looking for someone to take your dogs on a hike? Look no further! I will gladly take your pet on an 2 - 4 hour excursion to Zilker Park, Greenbelt, Red Bud Isle, Turkey Creek, Mary Moore, or any other ATX park! This is great for the pup that is always waiting for the next adventure. This service includes pick up and drop offs! Here's where we'll take our walks: I am always visiting different trails in the area - if your dogs like that, I'll be more than happy to bring them along! I enjoy early morning and evening strolls around the neighborhood. If your dogs prefer quiet areas, there are plenty of other routes available to suit their needs. Your dogs will get a lot of exercises, which makes for tired but happy dogs at the end of the day! Of course, my walks is dependent on the age of your dogs and level of energy and stamina. Depending on your dogs, we can play tug of war, fetch, go swimming, or on a hike. My dogs, Ellie and Rocco, loves play dates. If you are interested in socializing your dogs, I am more than happy to bring them along to our Meet and Greet, to see how they get along. My style of care is completely based on your needs and the needs of your dogs. I am aware that some dogs are active and playful while some like to nap and relax. I am prepared to accommodate any temperament, age, or activity level, in addition to supplying you with daily updates and photos upon request. Extra house-sitting services: I am able to bring in the mail, water your plants/garden, leave a detailed journal (notes about your pets for each visit), send you an email or text message with an attachment of your pets, and if you feed alley cats, I would happily do that as well.
