Two experienced dog owners, with positive reinforcement behavior experience.
There are no children or any animals in the house, other than our rescue dog Bronson, who is easy going and social with dogs. We have fostered many dogs over the years that have been abused and neglected. Bronson is at the ideal age to be a perfect companion for your pup. He is young enough to still want to run around and play chase and just lazy enough that if your pup is more of a couch potato with little need or interest in endurance, Bronson has no problem cozying up on the couch with a good movie...
So what do you get for your $35 per day?
-A home with two experienced dog owners, who will treat your dog like we treat our own.
-Same meal times as you feed your dog at home, with the food that you bring, so there are no upset tummies.
-Dog play time, treats, walks, swimming etc AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.
-Your friend will stay in a house, not a kennel. He/She can sleep in a dog crate if that is what she’s used to, but otherwise will stay anywhere in the house they feel comfortable.
-Access to a large, fenced in yard that rabbits, squirrels, birds, etc, regularly visit, making it a great place for your dog to use his/her nose.
We have experience with and can administer oral medications. Since one of us is home 24/7, we can accommodate dogs who need to get outside/fed/meds over lunch any day of the week.
A visit to our home with your dog prior to the stay is required. We don't discriminate against any breeds, but we want to make sure the dogs will get along. Both my fiancé and I have a lot of experience with large “wrongly stereotyped" aggressive breeds, and although we don't accept vicious dogs, we understand some of the extra attention and measures to prevent being dragged down the street. We often enjoy running for exercise, this coupled with the safe setting of our development offers an excellent opportunity should your pup enjoy or be accustom to a controlled run as well as a nearby park and our own fenced in yard should they prefer fetch.
You dogs should be current on their bordetella and rabies vaccinations (bring a copy please) as well as flea/tick medicine.
When you bring your dog for his/her stay, all you need to bring is your dog, your dog's preferred bed or crate, and enough food for his/her stay. We have everything else - clean blankets, bowls, leashes and toys, and high quality treats. Of course, you are welcome to bring anything you think your dog will like to make his/her stay more comfortable.
Finally, we guarantee that your dog(s) get all the attention they would get at your house while you are away!
For a day-care stay (which will be a day full of play, enrichment, walks, basic obedience training, etc), drop-off time is between 7am and 10am and pickup time is between 2pm and 5pm.
Please send an email if you have any other questions or concerns. Thank you and we hope to meet you and your dog(s) soon.
