About Cindy

22 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hello I'm Cid' (or you can call me Cindy)!

I have had the joy and pleasure of having over 100 foster greyhounds come through my home over the years and on to their forever homes. Along the way, four became part my family. Sadly they have all now crossed over Rainbow Bridge and I find my home feels empty without four paws following me around.

While a foster parent, I had many opportunities to care and work with what we called "Special Needs" dogs. These were dogs that were either recovering from broken leg surgeries & various other medical treatments, anxious and shy dogs we lovingly called "Spooks", seniors, and some with separation anxiety. I have the experience and patience to work with all the needs of your Kidz, special or not. Additionally, I have ramps to assist older dogs, elevated food/water stands, and also a "Help 'em Up Harness", a wonderful comfortable way to aid seniors or those in recovery, up and down stairs or during walks.

Personally, I have dealt with my own "Kidz" special needs.... Osteosarcomas, Leg Amputation, Chemo Therapy, Pancreatitis, Inflammatory Bowel Disorder, and even partial paralysis and parethesia in my last boy. I went to every length available to provide the best of care, love and attention for my "Kidz" and will do no less for yours! I want your precious pet to experience an easy, comfortable transition from your home to their "Home away from Home".

I am a retired Dental Hygienist looking to fill my time and home with activities that I love and caring for your pet would be high on my list! My home is lovingly referred to as "The Doghouse". Plenty of dog beds to choose from and even the master-bed is open to share if that is what your pet is most comfortable with while you're away. My yard is completely fenced and locked, with grass and paw friendly mulch and pea gravel. No metal edging to cut paws! I live on a street with no drive through traffic. Best of all, there are two parks, three schools and Jeffco Open Space trails within walking distance of my home. One park is located just at the end of my street and another 3/4 of a mile away with a lake! Should you like, I also have all passes and tags required to take them to Chatfield to enjoy the dog park, and can transport them safely and comfortably in my Subaru.

Aside from routine errands and brief personal activities, your loved one will rarely be left alone. However, it bares mentioning, on an individual basis, depending on your pet and their demeanor, I may require kenneling when I am away from home or overnight. It has been my experience that leather couches make great chew toys for those with anxiety! :-) Once your pup is more comfortable with their temporary home, this may no longer have to be the case.
When we meet, we can discuss what would work best for your "Kidz".

It would be a great pleasure to set up a time to meet you and your Kid(z). Get to know me and discover a loving "Home Away From Home". I would consider it an honor to be charged with their care.

Cindy Davis would be an excellent pet sitter. She has real compassion for animals of all kinds, and has that temperament that draws everyone, human and animal alike, to her. She is competent, patient, and you can always count on her. She would be a great asset to your family!!

Cindy is a very responsible, conscientious individual who loves animals. She spent many years involved in greyhound rescue, opening her home and heart to many dogs.

I'm so happy to see Cindy offering her pet sitting services. She is by far the best pet owner and pet sitter I have ever known. She understands dogs in a way that most of us do not. Cindy is incredibly compassionate, and understanding, yet she has a firmness with which they respond respectfully to her. She has assisted me with my dog from helping clean my old, sick dog's teeth to helping me brush and trim my new sensitive dog's long hair. She certainly has a way with pets and has a mutual loving relationship with all. Her extensive knowledge with each bread really amazes me every time we go for a walk. I cannot express how immensely I would recommend Cindy who not only freely gives her love for each pet, but also, takes it to the next level, providing her extensive knowledge in care for each bread (or mutt ;).

Cindy has dog sat for our 6 dogs on several occasions. She is attentive and friendly. She knows dogs and has had several special needs of her own. She is professional and enjoys the company of dogs. I highly recommend Cindy for any dog sitting job.

If I could rate Cindy a 10 out 5 I would do it! Special circumstances of my dad passing away and needing to head out of town quickly did not stop Cindy from doing the AWESOME job she must do for everyone. She was highly flexible as my schedule hinged on my dad's transport home. None of my pets (except one) had ever been boarded. Usually my sister or my dad's caregiver would dog/cat sits for me so with them traveling with me I was left to find just the right person QUICKLY. I immediately felt comfortable with Cindy. She was detailed, asked great questions, and took good notes. I left her with 4 dogs and 2 cats and she didn't even blink and stepped right in seamlessly. In fact I think my pets were sad to see me come home since Cindy took such good care of them. I appreciated that she was willing to spend the nights to ease their anxiety and make sure their needs were also met during the day. The absolute best thing was how Cindy kept in touch with texts, pix, and videos. It made me smile during a very sad time and also, there was nowhere where I worried about them. I was assured they were well taken care of and little did I know at the time I left Colorado she would be taking such good care of me! On my return, we drove over 13 hours straight and when I arrived home she had home-made soup and salad waiting for me. Now that's going ABOVE and BEYOND. She is so compassionate and intuitive. I look forward to leaving my crew with her again.
Cindy was amazing!! I was so nervous to leave our doggies but she really put me at ease. We talked a lot before I left about their routines and she sent me pictures and videos while we were on vacation. She took all three on many walks every day and they got great exercise. We couldn't be happier with her. She even made dog treats and left us with a gift bag for our three dogs!!!! I can't say enough good things about Cindy. She will always be our pet sitter. I'm so happy that we found her. She's the best!
Cindy was amazing! She did everything and beyond! My girls were very happy. The older one has diabetes and is blind and the younger one can be overtly raucous when she gets excited, but Cindy handled everything wonderfully. I will definitely have her take care of my dogs in the future as my girls really like her and will most assuredly recommend her to anyone who needs a loving, caring person to watch their animal!
