About Diane

15 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Pretty please....read this entire listing before contacting me. Most of your questions will be answered here. Thank you!

Be sure to fill out your dog's entire Profile. Without it, I will not schedule a Meet & Greet or board your dog. No exceptions.

Go out-of-town, guilt-free, knowing your dog(s) will be loved and well-cared for in a nice home---not a kennel. Small, medium, large & x-large short-haired dogs welcome!

We know you're busy...so before you waste any time writing back and forth to me, please read this entire post. Most of your questions will be answered here.....

We have 4 cats. Your dog(s) will need to be non-reactive to cats in order to stay here. We cannot board any dog that chases, terrorizes, stalks and may injure our cats. If you allow your dog to chase rabbits, squirrels, deer, birds, etc.(not good behavior)--- your dog will probably not pass the "cat test" as they are too prey driven. All the dogs that stay here either have cats at their home or they're too old to chase cats.

I will only board dogs that have had a Meet & Greet. No exceptions. If you are a new client and I have not met your dog, please do not try to setup a reservation without first setting up a meet and greet. If you do try to set up a reservation before a Meet and Greet....I'll know you haven't read this listing. ;-)

I'm sorry---but I don't board dogs under 1 year old, unsocialized dogs and dogs that are not housebroken. ;-(As much as I love Goldens, Shih Tzu's, Irish Setters, etc... I can no longer take long-haired, high maintenance dogs. When it rains, our backyard can get muddy. Long-haired dogs track too much mud into the house. ;-(

Because I'm passionate about rescuing dogs, I prefer to only take pups that are neutered. Over 1.2 million healthy dogs are murdered in shelters every year because of the population problem. Neutering your pet will go a long way in stopping the killing of these precious living beings.

Our 4,000 square foot home is very clean and animal-friendly. Our heating & A/C units are equipped with special filters and UV lights for allergies and dirt.

Our fenced in backyard is about an acre, providing lots of room to play...or just lay around. Dogs get a great workout on the hill. Your dog will have walks (unless it's too hot or too cold) and lots of interaction and playtime with our dog and neighbor dogs.

You'll have to let us know if you don't want your pup on the furniture. We tend to spoil all dogs---but we're happy to respect your rules. Your pup will have full run of the house.

Your dog(s) will have outdoor bathroom breaks every 2 - 3 hours during the day & at least 1 daily walk, weather-permitting. He/she will sleep well after a full day of fun, relaxation, walks and loving. Most dogs choose to sleep in our bedroom---on our bed.

FYI....for the first time your dog stays with us, please schedule a 1 - 2 night stay to see how it works out for everyone. If all goes well, you can book a longer stay, OK?

I'm a Voice Over Professional with a home recording studio---so I can't take dogs that bark for no reason. My sweetie, Armand Cabrera, is a professional fine artist and computer games artist. We work from home, so we're available to love and care for your dog 24/7.

We're not able to board hyperactive, untrained dogs. I'm happy to provide names of great trainers.

Please schedule a Meet 'n Greet at our home so we can make sure Chez Diane is a perfect fit for your pup.
Be sure to fill out your pup's entire profile before requesting a Meet 'n Greet.

PRICING - DOGGIE DAYCARE

$25---up to 10 hours.
After 10 hours you will be charged an additional Daycare fee.

BOARDING

Overnight Boarding = $50
($25 overnight boarding + $25 first day of daycare until noon)
Drop off your pup anytime during the 1st day.
Pickup on the last day of boarding before 12 noon.
If you pickup your pup after 12 noon, I charge an additional day of daycare.

Multiple Dogs Boarding (same family) $45 per dog.

Please bring your own food. Dry food is garbage.....so bring canned food. You can see an article I wrote about dry food on my blog: InfoAboutCatsAndDogs.com

Please be sure your dog is clean and well groomed before bringing him/her to our home. I'm happy to recommend good groomers in the area. We don't take matted, stinky, ungroomed dogs. ;-) While your dog is here, I'll brush him/her daily. Should you bring an un-groomed dog, additional charges for grooming will be applied. Please keep in mind---this is our private home---not a kennel.

If you are a punctual person, thank you for your consideration----no need to read further.

This is the "I Can't Believe I Have To Say This!" section...
If you are chronically late---please know that my time is as important as yours. I work from home as a professional Voice Over Actress and an Artist Agent. I plan my day around your arrival. It's rude to call or text me when you're already late. I've been waiting for you and there's a good chance I had to get up earlier than usual to accommodate you. Thanks!

Diane has a wonderful home and yard. Ginger had a very good time there and I would use her again. Diane has extensive experience with cats and dogs and likes to share her experiences. I appreciated my dog being very well taken care of.
Diane was great with our dog, Duncan. After just our meet and greet, Duncan was tired from running with her dog Jill, and running around her gorgeous and huge back yard. Diane took the time to walk us through her home and introduced our dog to her cats to make sure everyone would be all set. Diane also sent us some pictures and updates while we were gone, which we always enjoyed reading! I know Duncan had a great time because he slept a lot the day we got back, and it takes a lot to zap his energy, he was a happy and tired boy!

Diane was awesome. She took excellent care of Sloan. Would definitely use her again.
Diane is very caring and my lil fella enjoys his visits. I trust her implicitly.
Bella was well cared for and we had no hesitations leaving Bella there for 1 week.
I have never felt so comfortable leaving my dog, Cooper, with anyone!! Diane took such wonderful care of him, making him feel part of the family. He loved playing in her beautiful large fenced in yard, and thoroughly enjoyed the company of her dog and cats. When I picked him up he was so relaxed and happy. For the first time ever, he was in no hurry to come home!! Diane took time to e-mail me information and photos of Cooper everyday. I have never had such peace of mind when leaving Cooper. I feel so lucky to have discovered such a wonderful person to care for him. I can't thank her enough.

Another wonderful vacation for my pup....Diane makes him feel at home! Thank you Diane!!!!!
Sophie's stay with Diane B was so wonderful. I highly recommend Diane's services. Sophie adapted well and was loved and exceptionally cared for. Thank you
We could not have asked for any better care for our furry baby. Diane is such a great caretaker. She treated our dog as if it were her own and kept us up to date on his stay. It was as if he never left home. He was spoiled and treated like a king.
Diane is amazing! When you meet her, it is immediately apparent that she loves dogs (and cats). Her home is filled with dog beds and toys, and has a huge fenced-in back yard where the dogs can play all day. She was so generous with her care and really went above and beyond the basics that are advertised. She has lots of experience with dogs and truly cares about giving animals a high quality of life. For a small fee she even bathed and groomed our dog, so he came home tired, happy and beautiful! Her dog, Jill, is such a happy, playful host as well - she and our dog, Charlie, immediately became pals. After our tiring trip, it was so nice having an equally tired and happy dog to bring home. Although he was happy to see us, he was sad to leave Diane & Jill. I highly recommend Chez Diane and will definitely bring Charlie there in the future.

Diane was fabulous. Jetson, my greyhound, absolutely loved it there. Diane was very helpful and kind during our 'meet-and-greet' and when I dropped Jetson off a few days later, I knew he would be well taken care of. Even though it was a rainy day, Diane took him out frequently and he was tired for the next day and a half! I know my dog's personality and I could tell he was very comfortable and happy there. We will be going back many many times.
