Hi, I am a college student at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. I love all kinds of animals and wish I could have a dog of my own here (still working on convincing my roommate to let us adopt one). She suggested this site as an alternative. I am originally from Texas where I have a medium-sized poodle-terrier mix dog. His name is Cooper and is currently being taken care of by my parents. He is the dog that is wearing a red harness in my pictures. I have experience with large dogs too.
Here in Baltimore I have a cat that is 2 years old. She can be kept apart from your dog if you would prefer. She is the most un-cat-like cat I have ever heard of. She loves playing fetch and follows these commands: sit, no, paw, high-five, stay, get out, stand, roll over, and (most recently learned) turn. She has been friendly towards all of the people we have had over at our apartment. She does not mind the presence of dogs, never goes after them, and has been known to sleep next to some of the dogs that I have hosted in the past.
If you decide to house your dog through this listing, they will be cared for by me. I am open to taking your dog on as many walks as they require and any other requests you may have. I live 2 blocks from a great park where people often take their dogs. Because we are college students, we are always in and out of the apartment during the day so they won't be alone for more than 3 hours at a time.
We have a two-bedroom apartment. If you would like to visit before committing to anything, please call. We will also send you pictures of your dog while you are away. My roommate and I are both not originally from Baltimore. There have been occasions that we have had to leave our cat, Luna, under the care of others for one or two weeks. We always find status updates/pictures reassuring so we would not mind doing that for you.
