After realizing my love for animal care, I have decided to start my own "pet care" business. I am not quite sure on what it takes to run a business, let alone start one. So I have decided to invest my life in DogVacay!
Let me start by saying I have forever dedicated my life to caring for my animals! I find no true happiness doing anything else but caring for and relating with my animals on UNREAL and amazing levels. I adopted my first dog when I was 8, and his name was Luke. He lived to be 16 years of age and even though I had parted off to college for the last few years of Luke's life, he truly sparked my love and unconditional emotions for all animals. My junior year of college was a rough and rocky one. I had been babysitting for a wonderful family who could no longer care for their Catahoula named Hidee. So I adopted her. It didn't take long for me to realize how much more I loved her....than ANYTHING else. Well, then the adoptions continued. A dog's love is truly unconditional, and that is why some of my friends look at me funny when I speak to Hidee, Chance, or Dobby like they can understand human language. These are the reasons why I am starting my business this way!
My home has a wonderful layout for animals. We even keep "baby gates" stocked up, just in case one breaks. Even though all of the animals get along, it is nice to separate the cats from the dogs every now and again. With tile floors throughout the main living areas and carpeted bedrooms, your pet will always have a nice place to play, rest, sleep, and even chew up the many toys we have! Our living room has a large area rug, but whats even better is the spacious couches! Along with these great home amenities comes a tiled kitchen where everybody eats, a large fully fenced in backyard with shaded areas, a concrete patio for bath time, unlimited blankets for each doggy to have for his/her own while spending the night (most likely in the bedroom with all of us!), a mini SUV for periodic trips to the vet/dog park/etc, and so much more.
Oh! Did I mention the steps I take to discipline my pups? Well, while mothering hound dogs one must be EXTREMELY persistent and serious due to their nature of instinct and quick-to-act ways. However, with discipline comes reward...even if they only do half of what I am requesting from them! This method not only works, but creates this amazing bond I can cherish forever with my animals. Or should I say children? :)
