Hello! My name is Celia and I am recent NYU grad with a degree in Sociology and Animal Studies. I work full time during the weeks in Lakewood, Colorado, but have a flexible so am able, in some cases, to provide 1-2 visits during the day in close areas. Although I am working during the weeks, I am still available for sitting and walking on the weekends. I would love the opportunity to make sure your dogs gets the attention he deserves while you are away and look forward to hearing from you!
I grew up with dogs, cats, frogs, fish, and a turtle. I started volunteering at my local animal shelter when I was 15 and have volunteered at 3 additional rescues or shelters since then throughout my time in college. I have also worked at a dog day care, fostered cats, kittens, and a dog, and am currently a personal dog walker for a dog who needs extra love and attention! I also recently adopted my own puppy, Lucy, who is a 4 month old shepard mix. She LOVES people and dogs and would love a pal to play with!
I am very experienced with dogs who have anxiety or aggression issues, and with notice I am able to provide the proper amount of care and attention both at my apartment and on walks to make sure the dog remains relaxed, out of trouble, and happy. I also have experience with pets who need oral medication and who are recovering from surgeries and have had enough informal training to be able to identify signs of sickness or discomfort. I am a very flexible sitter and will take into consideration any special requests you have such as grooming, playtime, or sleeping in the bed. I also live very close to Washington Square Dog Park and am happy to bring your dog their if that is something they would enjoy!
