Most of my experience is with big dogs- German Shepherd Dogs in particular, but that doesn't mean that I don't like small dogs. I love all dogs!! All are welcome!

Nancy is great! We boarded our dogs with her 8/21/16 - 8/24/16. My wife and I had never boarded our dogs before, so when we decided to go out of town we had some reservations. Especially since one of our dogs is diabetic and requires insulin injections. Right From the meet and greet You can tell Nancy is a dog lover and put our minds at ease and we were confident our dogs would be well taken care of. Nancy is a great communicator, and we received multiple pictures and updates daily. Would not hesitate to board with her again.
Had to go to St. Louis for a convention from July 1st -5th and did not have anyone to watch my little dog as my family normally does. I googled Dog Boarding sites and found Nancy from Saranac. From the very 1st phone call I was very confident I was making the right choice taking Peanut to her. She was very welcoming to myself and Peanut. I have to say it is the 1st time I was not worried in any way that my dog was not being given the attention and care while I was gone out of state which made it easier for myself. She is such a caring animal lover and you can see it right away. When I picked up Peanut she shared how much she enjoyed him and his behavior and had a doggie bag of goodies for him for his departure. I will not even think twice about not taking him back to her. Amazing lady with a big heart for animals. Thanks again Nancy for taking care of Peanut never will have words enough to thank you.

I recently needed to be out of town for 3 days for my son's wedding. I was feeling stressed about who could take care of my three cats and dog and knew my daughter was looking for help with her two dogs as the people we trust most to do it (family), would also be out of town. I started an internet search, finding the Dog Vacay site and Nancy's name popped up as a possible host, I was surprised to find someone who lived nearby. I contacted Nancy and she responded quickly. From the start, Nancy extended a very welcoming and accommodating attitude. When she heard that we were going to be out of town, Nancy suggested that she could come and stay overnight with the animals. I was admittedly a bit apprehensive about opening my house to a stranger. I arranged a meet and greet with Nancy and she brought her husband to meet us and all of the animals. Nancy immediately connected with the animals (humans too) and I felt very comfortable with her. To make things as smooth as possible, Nancy came to the house 1/2 hour before we left. She stayed at the house most of the time we were away. When we returned, all of the animals were relaxed and content. The house was just as we left it. Nancy went above and beyond, even making special treats for the dogs (which they were crazy about). I would not hesitate to use Nancy again to care for the animals and watch over my house should I have a need in the future. I highly recommend Nancy to others who might need her services!
Nancy (and Steve) were fabulous to work with! They were great communicators, lovers of dogs, and were very professional. This past Christmas I had to find lodging for my two medium sized dogs and right from the first phone call it was clear Nancy loved dogs and loved this business she was in! She was very accommodating and was very good about making sure she understood my concerns and needs. When the day of the drop off occurred we all (my dogs, my daughter, Nancy and Steve) went into her super large fenced in backyard to watch and help my dogs get accustomed to the new surroundings which I really appreciated. Nancy does have her own pets, and she asked in advance if I would mind integrating our dogs for play, or would I prefer to keep her dogs away from mine (I was OK to let them all play if they all got along). She allowed her dogs into the yard so I could see for myself if I would be comfortable with them all together (and I was! She has some great, kind dogs herself!). Nancy continued to give me updates (and pictures!) of my dogs while they were in her care. It became obvious that she enjoyed them and spoiled them with attention. I truly felt great about leaving them with her (and her husband Steve). She treated my dogs as her own and even provided some dog treats as a parting Christmas gift! I have no reservations leaving my dogs there again. I should add that I have never used "Dog Vacay" before so this whole experience was new for me. Thumbs up for Nancy! :) 5 Stars!
