I am a PhD Student in Biology at UTK and thus have an extremely flexible work schedule. I can work from home and can arrange my schedule so I am only gone for a maximum of 4-5 hours at a time (but I cater my schedule to the dog(s) I'm watching, some require 24-7 supervision).
I bought my own home about a year ago with a large (3/4 acre) fully-fenced backyard and extremely durable floors. I even have a large pet room with windows. Before college I had dogs and bought this house with the full intention of getting my own dog, but I recently got engaged and my fiance and I want to wait and get a dog together after we're married in a year (currently he lives out of state). Hence why I am dog sitting and fostering now!
You would be sending me and my cat a blessing, by having the temporary company of a loving canine. My cat has spent her entire life with dogs (particularly large ones) - she loves them and has been a little depressed without one in the house (a roommate with a dog recently moved out).
I also run or hike daily, so if your dog is up for it he/she would get lots of exercise, plus there is a dog park a short car ride away!
Please don't hesitate to email me if you are looking for an affordable, flexible, and loving caregiver for your dog (or dogs).
PLEASE NOTE: Due to high demand I can only accept 1 new client per day ($30/day/dog). Returning guests - please message me well in advance (my calendar is filling up quickly), returning guests are $25/day/dog unless otherwise notified.
DAYCARE: This service is only offered for owners who want a trial day before booking an overnight stay ($20); drop-off and pick-up must be between 7am and 7pm unless other arrangements are made. I cannot provide regular daycare at this time.
