Hello! I simply adore dogs, as well as cats! I've lived with dogs my whole life and currently live with two senior dogs: Tobey, a miniature dachshund, and Rex, an American pit bull terrier. I am an undergraduate, majoring in French and Spanish, currently taking a break from UMSL. I live with my lovely mother and father, and 23-year-old brother who has fishes in finished basement.
In the past, I have taken care of my friends' and relatives' pets, spending the night at their home with their dog, driving to their apartment to feed and walk their dogs, and even giving tips on how to train and care for them. I love watching dog training shows, such as the "Dog Whisperer", and "It's Me or the Dog" with Victoria Stillwell, as one of my goals is to become a professional dog trainer. I regularly give dogs baths, take them on long walks on trails and play and cuddle with them. When Rex was younger he used to swim in the nearby lakes and creeks. In our yard, I tie Rex to a very long leash tied to a tree, (we don't have a fence), otherwise, I stay outside to watch and play with them. Our deck, secured with a baby gate, is where the pets love to sunbathe while observing who passes by on the sidewalk. I've given insulin shots and pills orally. I will administer your pets' medication with confidence.
We are a family of pet-loving people! For example, we have two pieces of furniture that now are designated for dogs to lounge and nap on; one in my dad's office and one in the living room. Our dogs have gotten along with every pet brought into the house (we used to have a cat). Additionally, I used to spend summers in Mexico on my grandmother's ranch with many dogs, so I have experience with dogs' behavior patterns in packs.
All in all, I am very eager to embark on each new relationship with you and your beloved pets. Your pet will receive attentive, specialized care and unrelenting love with me as your sitter. Thank you for checking out my profile!
