Pet care experience
Hi there! I am an AVID pet lover (especially dogs, cats & reptiles) who is looking to help out neighbors with pet care while making a little extra money on the side! I have LOTS of experience with large and small dogs, separation anxiety, 'excitement' for life, lap dogs and cats and seniors of all kinds! I have a snake currently and am very comfortable with all reptiles and small rodents/mammals as well. Basically, I love them ALL and will consider any pet babies! I lost my adult dog last year while I miss him dearly, am grateful for the extensive knowledge on animals that I gained while owning him. He had multiple surgeries at the end of our time together so I am seasoned in medication administration, suture care and overall care/petting needed to ease a stressed, post-op pet. Due to the cancer he had, he also experienced some incontinence and confusion so I am also used to those ailments and comfortable handling them. I will listen to ANY questions you may have about my services and encourage you to share any and all concerns you may have before we book! I have a flexible evening/weekend schedule and can accommodate most times requested- I work from home during the day and make my own schedule providing me with a VERY flexible availability. Ideally, I'll come to you and help out for a reasonable price with a guarantee of fun and exercise (and LOTS of attention, of course) for your pets! Thanks!

Carlee was great! She took wonderful care of our pup and went above and beyond by doing an excellent job taking care of our garden and tomato starts. This was our first time using Rover and Carlee made it easy. We asked her to housesit our dog for a weekend away. Carlee was great to communicate with and always got back to us in a timely manner. She offered to meet our dog before hand, which I thought was a wonderful idea. Carlee was flexible working around our schedules for the meet and greet. When we met it was apparent that she was a very nurturing and responsible individual. She even took the time on a Friday evening to come over to our house for a walk through and hand off of instructions. While we were away she sent us multiple updates on how our pup was doing and how things were going at the house. The photos of our dog were fantastic! We returned to a healthy, happy pup and house in perfect condition. We will defiantly be booking Carlee again.

I typically let them roam freely throughout my home (unless otherwise requested by the owner) during the visit and leave my back door open to the fenced yard so they may go to the bathroom as they need. I take many breaks from work throughout my day to play fetch or with toys and make sure they always have access to comfortable nap spots and water. If walks are requested I'll gladly take them on walks throughout the day as well.

I have no breed preferences (I love pittys!) but would ask any owners of dogs with stubborness or aggression to warn me ahead of time so we can see if it will be a good fit. Knowing potential triggers can be very helpful and will make the visits much more positive. Any health issues would be important to know, along with dietary restrictions or favorite toys and treats!
A typical day
If allowed, we may play fetch at a dog park, hike in Forest Park or the gorge or enjoy a leisurely afternoon stroll around your neighborhood. For the extra-energetic pets I'm happy to take them on longer hikes and for the seniors I'm perfectly content with giving a belly rub playing tug-o-war in the backyard.

Availability
I currently work part time entirely from home and have full time availability for pet care. I am able to ensure your pet gets lots of attention and plenty of potty and play breaks!
