I am a health & fitness coach and mostly work from home which allows me to care for our own furry, four legged son, Basil, who would love to have the company of another dog to play with. We live in a two story apartment building with only one other apartment.
My husband and I both work from home so someone is here almost all the time. With the exception of a few times a week when we go to the gym and are gone for maybe 2 hours at most and if we decide to go out to dinner and a movie one night, other than that your dog will not be left alone.
Your dog will have run of the house (we don't crate unless you provide one) and can share our dog's full size bed with him at night time (full size bed for humans complete with fluffy pillows).
We love dogs and would be happy to care for another one while it's owners are away. I'll email you photos while you're away so you can see your happy dog and enjoy peace of mind on your vacation.
I'm great with dogs of all kinds as far as obedience and training goes. I will never yell at or hit your dog, only positive reinforcement when needed.
If you need transportation and don't provide a crate, I have a seat harness that I can use (for dogs 50-75lbs). A leash attaches to the harness and buckles into the seatbelt for safety.
I can take your dog to the off leash dog park, I usually go to Bronxville or Pelham Manor, but that would depend on your comfort level and I will have to gauge the comfort level of your pet, if I feel he/she is scared by being in a new situation and may potentially try to run away I will not let your pet off leash and will probably skip the park altogether as being the only dog on a leash is not very fun for them. We also bring our dog swimming at Larchmont Manor Park when the weather gets nicer and would love to take your dog too.
Our yard is just big enough that our dogs can run around and play together outside in our fenced yard if the parks are not an option, and they're welcome to run around in the house too of course. We have plenty of toys too!
