First and foremost: THANK YOU for being a great pet owner and doing your research to find the best possible care for your furry (or not so furry?!) friend.
I was raised on a ranch and have had experience with: dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, goats, horses, cows, and rabbits. We also had a few parakeets and hamster or two over the years.
My son and I are a package deal. He is a very responsible 12 year old who is positively CRAZY about critters. We currently have a Poodle-Chihuahua mix, who goes by Ralph the Dog. He's never met a bad hair day he didn't like (when you see him you'll understand, he's a lovable hot mess). RTD (Ralph the Dog) loves having playmates over. Like my actual human son, he definitely suffers from being an "only child"; he thinks it's criminal. He's a bit macho around bigger dogs, but settles down quickly. Ralph came into our life two years ago. He was a 5 mo old rescue pup and a gift for my son's 10th birthday. He's a lover like no other and has made our lives 100% better.
I work from home, so your doggies will get ample attention. Our fenced back yard is small to medium, but we live right around the corner from a HUGE park with access to separate dog park areas. Your dogs will love staying with us and we promise to love and care for them as though they were our own. (Which means if they stay for a sleepover, they'll have the option of sleeping in bed with my son.)
While we love senior dogs, we do have a pretty steep carpeted staircase. The bedrooms are upstairs - so we may not be the right fit if this will be a challenge. We will gladly carry smaller pups with any mobility issues!
