About Cheryl

35 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hello Friends & Clients - I want to
thank all of my wonderful Clients and their pups for a fun filled 2016.

As you can see by our photos, we had a lot of great pups stay with us in 2016 and we look forward to caring for your critters in 2017

Welcome to Half Moon Bay. We have a lovely coast side town with beautiful beaches to walk on, lots of great places to eat and hang out,
along with 5 star golf courses and of course, The Ritz hotel and home to Mavericks - Big Wave surfing contest, along with the great Pumpkin Festival in October.

Our guests have a lot of fun here at our Canyon Critter Camp. Besides a cozy bed in the house, my guest outside areas are real nice for
dogs to relax in their chaise beds, with shelter overhead and cushy beds too.

I offer personal, one on one care for each pup that I care for here at my Canyon Critter Camp.

All areas have lighting for those evening potty time.

A large fenced & gated front yard to play ball or run off leash if you
like with my girls - Miss Mimi & Sofie, and the occasional foster pup.

As an added bonus of security and safety we have the Hidden Fences by Dog Watch Bay Area around the perimeter of our property. Clients of Hidden Fences can also bring their collars for their pups and will work here too.

I am happy to care for dogs 20 lbs + and will consider special needs critters. Your pup should be dog friendly and socialized with others.

Your dogs diet - it is very important to keep your dog on the same feed that they are currently on. Please bring plenty of their regular food for their stay.

Feeding your dogs - I only feed your pup the food that you bring and follow your feeding instructions. I am happy to prepare your veggies or cook anything fresh food that you bring for your pup to have during their stay. I do not feed table scraps, only holistic biscuits as treats upon your approval, and I do not provide any food for my guests dogs.

All critters sleep in the house at night.

Holidays - yes, we are here for the holidays.
4th of July - need a quiet, safe place for your pup? we have that here. No fireworks here.

Yes, we are here for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and of course
New Years. . Very quiet at our Canyon Critter Camp.

We have a Splash pool for your pups to play in, lots of room to run and explore.

Rate based on a 24 hr cycle.

Property double fenced with 7' high fencing.

Doggie areas complete with shade tents, sun screens, and mats or beds
to lay on with lights for night time potty business and 7' high fencing.

Security gate
3 local vets in Half Moon bay.

Canyon Critter Camp has a lot of flowers, fresh air, and is a non smoking home.

** We have two resident cats here.

It would be very helpful that your pup have flea treatment & flea bath within a week prior to arrival and current on all shots and worming .

I have always boarded dogs over the years. I am excited about meeting your pup.

I look forward to your booking. Contact me for a Meet N Greet anytime, they aren't required, but a great idea.

Owner of horses, mules, dogs, cats,
for over 35 yrs. I love all dogs, each one is very special.
My home based business - Custom Covers by Cheryl - I have a sewing workshop here and the majority of my clients are equestrians. I make horse blankets, dog blankets, gear bags, boot bags, stage coach curtains, chuck wagon covers and more. At least 80% of my clients are also dog owners.

My old Bernese Mountain Dog loves staying at Cheryl's. She has stayed there multiple times and always comes home happy and sometimes I think she doesn't want to leave. I also love the pictures Cheryl sends of my dog throughout her stay.
We have hired Chreyl 3 times so far and it goes without saying that she really cares for the big older pups like they are family. I just booked 5 more sittings with her and I am thrilled to have a place where my furbaby is safe, cared for, more sittings with her and I am thrilled to have a place where my furbaby is safe, cared for, understood and loved.
