About Laurel

13 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
About Me:

Hello! My name is Laurel Anne. I have been around animals all of my life. I have had a black lab-german shepherd mix, 2 parakeets, a chinchilla, a hamster, a guinea pig and a small lizard, just to name a few. I currently have a toy poodle and a cat at home. I can pet sit for any of these types of animals listed above.

In the past, I have worked as a bather in a grooming salon for more than 7 years and have experience working with dogs both large and small. I have been pet sitting and dog walking for 13 years and it's the best job I've ever had!

I have also volunteered to wash rescue dogs at large pet events so that they can be adopted into loving homes.

I believe that animals should be treated as family members and with respect. This is also one of the many reasons that I support the idea of your pet being boarded at your own home where they feel the safest.

I have my own car for reliable transportation and a crate for small animals in the event of an veterinary emergency. I do ask that you provide your vet's information when we meet in person.

I also have experience administering oral and topical medications on cats and dogs. Within the past month I ha e been trained by a licensed veterinary assistant on how to give insulin shot to dogs with diabetes. Please provide specific veterinary instructions. (To be taken with or without food...etc.) I have a lot of experience working with seniors and disabled dogs as well.

Dogs with the following characteristics I WILL NOT pet sit for:

Dogs with separation anxiet and aggressios.

Please note! I charge by the DAY, not "NIGHT".
I no longer provide overnight services in my client's homes.

. For the safety of my own pets, I do not offer boarding in my house

. Please, also be aware that I pet sit for multiple clients at a time and your dog will not be supervised 24/7. That being said, I will always make sure that your pet is safe, has been fed and has gone potty before I leave.

$35 is my base rate for clients that are 10 minutes and under from my house. The maximum distance I can manage in my day to day schedule is a 15 minute drive to my client's home. If you are over 10 minutes away from my house, I charge $10 extra per day for gas.

If your animal requires medicine to be administered, I charge a $5 extra fee per day. If medicine needs to be given to more than one animal I charge $10 extra per day. If your dog needs insulin injections or shots I charge $10 extra for each time the shot is given. If you have more than one animal that needs an injection shot, please speak with me and I will work with you.

Pet sitting services include:

*Feeding & fresh water

*Waste clean-up

*5 minute to 60 minute walk depending on your dogs needs

*Oral/Topi/Injection shot cal medication administration

*Bringing in the mail/newspaper/packages/flyers

*Turning porch lights on & off

*Taking trash bins in & out on trash day

*One on one playtime & socialization

*Brushing (if requested)

*Daily photo updates!

I check-in with my clients every day to let them know how their pets are doing. Not only are they fun to get, it is fun for me to take pictures of your pets. They turn out so cute. Earning the trust of my clients as well as your pets is very important to me.

I also provide dog walking services. Please ask me about my rates!

Referrals and happy reviews are welcomed and appreciated.

As always, Laurel is the best! Our pooch loves her so much, she is always wonderful, professional, thorough, and communicative. She always sends pictures and a quick text letting us know that our pup has been out which really eases our minds. I already have her penciled in for some pooch-free trips this summer. It is such a great feeling to know we have someone that we trust to come into our home and take care of daughter-dog while we are away. Thanks again Laurel!
We can highly recommend Laurel! She won the hearts of our littermate Pugs very quickly. Our male Pug even licked her leg like he does to show daily affection to his "parents." Laurel followed every detail, made it through peculiar medication schedules for each Pug, and kept our home neat and our yard thriving while in her care. She even sorted our heap of mail to make it easier to find what was important quickly. We have already booked two more trips with confidence that our babies will be well cared for in our absence. You can hire her with peace of mind!
We hired Laurel to watch our 2 cats during our holiday vacation and couldn't be happier. She was very professional and thorough. I'm excited to book again when needed. Thanks!
