My wife and I have had dogs for more than 50 years. We are animal people. In addition to dogs, we have had goats, sheep, cattle and pigeons. When the kids were home, we also had rodents, reptiles and insects. My wife and I are Aggies and have vets in the family. For this reason, we do most of the caring of our animals ourselves. Of course, our dogs go for their yearly check up to the vet and are on oral heartworm and flea medicine. We would expect the same for our guests. Our dogs sleep in a crate. We would expect our guests to sleep in a crate also.
We have recently built a house and retired on 4 1/2 acres north of San Antonio. The house has tile floors and is easy to clean in case a guest might leave "presents". We have a fenced (1/4 acre) yard with a 5' chain link fence that is kept locked. Guests will be allowed to be free in the house as long as they are housebroken and "get along with others". I am home all day and can let the animals out several times a day. A typical day for a guest would include feedings at whatever time is requested and several (4+) "outings" a day.
We would welcome any guests who are housebroken, like other dogs, and are crate trained. We look forward to meeting new visitors to our home.
