About Candace

25 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
El Dorado Hills has been my home for 15 years. I'm a mother of two, my son who is approaching college next fall. My daughter is 12 and is a big help around the house and loves pet sitting! I'm happily married to my husband Michael of 23 years who works from home. Our family consists of 1 rescue dog and 2 beloved rescue cats. We are a family full of animal lovers. When we have a furry guest in our house we treat them as family. I will treat your pet as if they were my own. Spoiled! The only requirement for coming into our home is if your dog is not cat aggressive. So far it has worked out beautifully. We have a 22 pound cat named Henry who loves most dogs. He seems to calm all of the dogs down when they meet him. He must smell really good. Give me a call and we will see if it's a match! I would prefer to board dogs that are mellow. That way it won't upset any of the other dogs I have here at the house. I can't wait to meet your furry friend!

Candace has been pet sitting our 2 dogs and 2 cats for about 5 years now, and I have nothing but good things to say about her work. For us, she comes 3 times a day to check on our animals, and I have never felt more secure leaving them behind when we travel. In 2014, my 85 lb. Labrador seemed to have something wrong with his eye after we left for 10 days to England. Candace emailed me that it was getting worse, and hauled him back and forth in her car to our vet. The diagnosis was pink eye, and Candace had to administer medicine to his eye 3x a day, which couldn't have been easy. She kept us informed everyday, and alleviated my anxiety the whole time we were gone. She has given our other dogs oral medication when they were sick, with no problem. I know that she is nothing but kind to animals, and it shows, because whenever she comes to my house to set up a visit, all of my animals come running to her like she's the Pied Piper. Even my skittish cat, Beans, who won't even let my husband pet her comes running down the stairs when she hears Candace's voice! I know that she plays with them and she will even send me a photo text of them playing. It totally puts my mind at ease. I highly recommend you give Candace an opportunity to win you and your pets over- You won't regret it!

I'm happy to write a testimonial for Candace. She was contracted as one of my sitters when I owned my own pet sitting business. She is an excellent and conscientious sitter. She has a deep love for all animals and is compassionate and loving. I have no reservations about recommending her for your service. Her clients will be very happy to have her watch their pets. Thanks Chris Wagner

We found Candace about 3 years ago. She would take care of our two terriers, in our home. After we lost our 17 year old, Jack Russell terrier, Candace started taking our Cairn terrier to her home for care. We have no worries when we are away, as we know she is in the best of care. Treated as part of her family. She sends pics, and texts. Always sends updates. Makes sure we arrive home when expected. She is the best pet sitter we have ever had! Chris & Pam J.
