About Hannah

20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Named after my first, well-loved dog, Camp Virgil is where the fun is. Each dog is free to be who they are and to pursue their chosen (as long as they aren't destructive!) activities--sleep, walk, hike, chew on chew toys, play, chase squirrels in the yard or just lounge in the sun on the chaise.

I have many years of experience watching dogs for friends and neighbors. Days typically include a walk in Hillsdale off-leash dog park, many outings to Spring Garden Park which is just next door, play, and lounging in my very spacious, dog-centric house.

I do not watch more than three dogs at a time (including mine) to ensure that each is getting the care that they need and that pack problems do not arise.

Hi. My name is Sandy and I'm an 11 year old Jack Russell terrier who is rather picky about my schedule and care. My owner recently married, retired, and decided to travel with her husband. Lucky for me I have someone like Hannah to look after me when trips happen. I enjoy staying with Hannah and she understands what I need. Even after 3 weeks I came home in good spirits. Time with Hannah is good! Hannah loves dogs.

I have known Hannah for over 40+ years. She has always had a love for animals. She has given every pet she has ever had all the love, attention and care she can possibly give. I have had the privilege of Hannah being a dog sitter for my pets many times and I have always been relaxed and never nervous knowing my pets are not only well taken care of but they are loved and carefully attended to during my absence. She would be an excellent addition to DogVacay and any owner would have the best possible experience with Hannah.

Hannah is my neighbor. She has watched my dog Bacon countless times over the last year and a half. Sometimes she comes to my home, picks him up, and takes him on long hikes in the gorge or other areas around the city. Sometimes he stays with her at her house, which is affectionately known as Camp Hannah. When he is with her, Bacon is loved and cared for with such enthusiasm and attention. I've seen her work with multiple dogs at a time (over 6 once!), and I cannot believe how at ease she is with each of them, always keeping her cool, and always loving. She is my first choice when I need someone to take care of my pup!

Hannah truly loves and understands dogs. She has provided excellent care for our dog, "Winter"
-- exercise, extra love and attention, diligence with making sure she is fed properly (and throwing in an extra treat or two). The best recommendation I can give about Hannah is that she is Winter's absolute favorite person outside of our family. I can give Hannah the highest recommendation.

Hannah watched over our two pups for an extended weekend. From the daily photos and messages the dogs looked like they had a great time going to the parks, on walks and playing in the house with her dog. Her fenced yard is a nice assurance. Administering daily medication to one of our dogs was no problem for her. We are very pleased with Hannah and would recommend her. We already have another booking with her next month!
