Day care openings are now available! Book your Meet-n-Greet to make sure our dogs are a match. Must not react to cats. Discount for full-week day care reservations, as well as for police, firefighter, military, and veterans. Current clients, please e-mail to request a reservation for boarding or day care even if my calendar shows I'm booked or unavailable.
Your senior, shy, handicapped, or convalescing pup will enjoy the calm and peace of a quiet, serene home. The resident dog and a cat here will show your pooch the most comfortable places to snooze: orthopedic foam bed, raised cot, blanket on the floor, crate, or sometimes my futon. :-) We can go for a walk to the park or just around the yard, depending on agility. West View Park is a one-mile walk, round trip. My back door has only one step up, and I also have a doggy ramp if needed, as well as a DoggyRide carriage that can hold up to 100 pounds.
Please be sure to bring a copy of your dog's latest veterinarian records to show that he or she is up to date on all shots, such as Distemper/Parvo and Rabies, in order to keep all our guests safe and healthy.
I don't use any chemicals in my house or yard. My dog is an 9-year-old tripawd husky mix who acts like a protective momma for our smaller guests. We use clicker/reward training here, with positive reinforcement. I'm a member of the Knoxville and East TN Dog Social group on Meetup, as well as PETA, ASPCA, NAVS, and HSUS. I will keep your dog calm and safe.
Discount for extended stays (four weeks or longer), as well as police, firefighter, military, and veterans. Ask for a Custom Quote. Even if my calendar shows I'm booked, a dog might be going home that morning so I could actually be available for an overnight. Please e-mail to double check.
The list of dogs I'm not comfortable working with are those known to have a prey drive that may endanger my cat. Every dog is different though, so please know upfront that there is a cat here so I can only host dogs who get along with cats, (or at least won't kill him); the breed is really a secondary consideration because I can keep the cats separated if necessary.
