About Lee Ann

11 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Free senior dog hosting for displaced Gatlinburg pets while you arrange new housing, up to three days. Send a reservation request and I'll supply you with a coupon code to cover the cost. Pets need to be crate-trained and up to date on shots.

Day care opening available after the first of the year. Book your Meet-n-Greet now to make sure our dogs are a match. Meanwhile, current clients, please e-mail to request a reservation for boarding or day care, even if my calendar shows I'm booked or unavailable.

Your senior, shy, handicapped, or convalescing pup will enjoy the calm and peace of a quiet, serene home. The resident dog and a cat here will show your pooch the most comfortable places to snooze: orthopedic foam bed, raised cot, blanket on the floor, crate, or sometimes my futon. :-) We can go for a walk to the park or just around the yard, depending on agility. West View Park is a one-mile walk, round trip. My back door has only one step up, and I also have a doggy ramp if needed, as well as a DoggyRide carriage that can hold up to 100 pounds.

Please be sure to bring a copy of your dog's latest veterinarian records to show that he or she is up to date on all shots, such as Distemper/Parvo and Rabies, in order to keep all our guests safe and healthy.

I don't use any chemicals in my house or yard. My dog is an 9-year-old tripawd husky mix who acts like a protective momma for our smaller guests. We use clicker/reward training here, with positive reinforcement. I'm a member of the Knoxville and East TN Dog Social group on Meetup, as well as PETA, ASPCA, NAVS, and HSUS. I will keep your dog calm and safe.

Discount for extended stays (four weeks or longer), as well as police, firefighter, military, and veterans. Ask for a Custom Quote. Even if my calendar shows I'm booked, a dog might be going home that morning so I could actually be available for an overnight. Please e-mail to double check.

The list of dogs I'm not comfortable working with are those known to have a prey drive that may endanger my cat. Every dog is different though, so please know upfront that there is a cat here so I can only host dogs who get along with cats, (or at least won't kill him); the breed is really a secondary consideration because I can keep the cats separated if necessary.

Lee Ann always takes great care of my 12 year-old prince, Momo. I'm happy leaving him with her every time.
Lee Ann was a great host, as always!
Lee Ann was a great host, as always!
As usual, Lee Ann was amazing. She even bought a "thunder cap" for our dog because he has trouble walking with his bad vision, and it worked! She is the best.
Lee Ann was a great sitter for my dogs. I can’t thank her enough for how well she handled the emergency situation. She did so much for us. Thank you, Lee Ann.
Lee Ann is FABULOUS!!! We needed an overnight placement for our senior dog on very short notice. Lee Ann responded quickly and even helped us navigate the Dog Vaycay site so we could communicate. Her method of introducing our dog to hers was excellent and stressfree. Her own dog is very sweet and is in training to become a therapy dog. Lee Ann's home is set up perfectly to accommodate canine guests, whether ablebodied or special needs. Our dog requires a medication regimen, and Lee Ann administered it like a pro, no problems or issues whatsoever. She sent us several videos that reassured us that our dog was happy, and had eaten and slept well. We even received notifications that told us when she walked the dogs, where they went and how far they walked. Prior to meeting Lee Ann we always worried whenever we had to leave our dog overnight. Now we know that if we have to travel without our beloved furry family member, he will be happy and receive the BEST of care and attention.

Lee Ann was amazing with our senior pup Snickers. She sent lots of updates to us, and was on top of all of his special needs. Lee Ann is very sweet, and we would recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her again!
We absolutely loved Lee Ann! She was so professional when it came to meeting our dogs and settling them in, and so so patient with our hectic schedule.

We are borderline obsessed with our dogs and were VERY nervous to leave our littlest one for the very first time and she did wonderful with sending us very frequent updates and ensuring that she was happy, well cared for, and most of all incredibly safe! She's the only person I've ever met who loves dogs as much as I do! She's full of wonderful advice, too!

We are so glad to have found Lee Ann and will definitely be requesting her again!!

We LOVE Lee Ann! There is nowhere else we would leave Maggie!
Our dog was well taken care of and we got pictures everyday also! Very happy.
Chloe and Abby were well taken care of during the three days that we were away. This was a new experience for us with Lee Ann and Dogvacay. We really enjoyed all the videos that Lee Ann sent us throughout the three days we were gone. Our girls had a great time and even got to make some new friends, Oreo and two cats. We look forward to having Lee Ann keep Chloe and Abby in the future . Thanks Lee Ann PS Chloe Abby enjoyed their walks in the park.

Lee Ann was so wonderful! I had to travel to Knoxville last minute for work on Sunday night, and I reached out to Lee Ann. She was very responsive and flexible to my needs. She typically hosts senior dogs, so I was very appreciative of her making an exception for my almost 2 year old Golden Retriever (Willow). She sent me many video and photo updates of Willow and was superb at communicating! She even sent me a photo of the map of her walk with Willow! She is very knowledgable about animals, and I 100% recommend her services!

Lee Ann is a fantastic dog sitter! My puppy absolutely loves her and her dog, Oreo, is so sweet. It's so nice to know that I can leave my not-so-little boy there and know for certain he'll be taken care of!
Knowing Lee Ann was taking care of our senior girls, gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. The photos and video updates were a nice reminder that they were safe and sound, and seem unaffected by our absence. We have already booked a future reservation. :)

Lee Ann was a wonderful host for Lilly. She sent many updates and photos throughout the week which made being away much easier. It was like leaving Lilly with a family member and I will definitely be using Lee Ann in the future.
Fantastic!!!
Lee Ann was fantastic! She sent updates often, and my dog loved Oreo - I don't think she was ready for me to pick her up yet! Lee Ann is a great host, and I would definitely recommend her!
I immediately felt good about Lee Ann at the meet and greet. She is very devoted to her dog, and has made humongous sacrifices to care for her. She seemed to have a good understanding of the needs of my elderly poodle, and did not gripe about getting up to let him out (down a ramp) at 2 in the morning when he needed to pee. She took pains to avoid putting him at risk, and chose the group she boarded carefully. I recommend her highly.

LeeAnn was amazing! I have never left Lilly for such a long period of time and LeeAnn not only provided frequent daily updates (both photos and videos) but made me feel comfortable that Lilly was doing well while we were away. I would highly recommend her and am thrilled that we now have a place for Lilly to stay when we travel.

The end was great. She took great care of our little girl. Sending many pictures and videos every day. You will not be disappointed if you use her as your home for your pet while you are on vacation.
Lee Ann and Oreo were wonderful! We got almost hourly updates with pictures and videos and she went above and beyond to make Elsa and Stanley feel at home! She even slept on an air mattress next to our Elsa to calm her down. Both of our dogs loved it there and will for sure go back whenever we need a place for them to stay! She accommodated all of our and their needs (both of them are on medications, special feeding schedule etc) without charging extra. If you want a "home away from home" you better book with Lee Ann and Oreo!

Once again, we are so glad to have found Lee Ann! She is such a wonderful host for our Maggie. This was her second time staying with Lee Ann, and we could not be more pleased. We love the fact that dogs in her care are able to go for nice long walks, at least once a day, usually two. What gives us the most comfort is Lee Ann's sensitivity to the specific needs of the dogs in her care. She is so attentive and concerned about their well-being and how the dogs interact and adjust to each other. We can not recommend her more highly.

Lee Ann was the best hostess we could have ever imagined! Our dog Gretchen is always a nervous wreck at kennels but at Lee Ann's she was right at home and very happy. She wasn't locked up, she had multiple walks every day and got to play constantly with people and other dogs.

Lee Ann seriously loved our dog like she was her own family member. And because of that, we will never be putting Gretchen in a kennel ever again.

Lee Ann was great with my beagle, Cooper! I had him there for a 3 day weekend and he loved it. She sent me lots of pictures, took him on long walks, and even played him some calming music when he got anxiety from fireworks! You can easily tell how much she loves and cares for doggies. Thanks, Lee Ann!

This was our second visit with Lee Ann. And although little Daisy (10lb. poodle) only stayed overnight this time, the care and attention was just as positive as on our first 10 day absence. Photos, and e-mails updates were proof that our dog was having a good time and not lacking in love or exercise. Thanks Lee Ann. We will see you soon again.

We cannot praise Lee Ann enough! Our dog's stay at her home far exceeded our expectations and desires for our Maggie. She is so attentive to the specific needs of each dog in her care, and we could not be more pleased. Her sensitivity both to Maggie and to us was so genuine and comforting. Lee Ann's love of dogs and her insight into what each one needs is very obvious. Her photos and notes were a highlight for us each day while we were gone. Her personal attention and communication to us meant a great deal to us. We will not hesitate to leave Maggie with her again.

I could not be more pleased with my dogs' vacay with LeeAnn. She spoiled them terribly, enough to make me feel guilty when I brought them home. I loved all the video, photo, and email updates I received everyday. I would wholeheartedly recommend LeeAnn to anyone.

Lee Ann was amazing, she went above and beyond with Maizy, even finding a new lead to teach my girl not to pull (no little feat!) I loved all the photos and videos, helped me stay connected to her when I was gone. I will absolutely call her again when we go out of town (as long as LeeAnn has the energy for her!) Thanks!!

Not only has Lee Ann gone out of her way to help my two dogs feel comfortable annd secure, she has been an encouragement and a blessing to me as I undergo surgery and recovery. I have not had one moments' worry about my babies receiving the best treatment.

Lee Ann went above and beyond to ensure our dog was taken care of after our other host had to cancel on us last minute, due to a death in the family. She sent pics, video, and message updates to keep us informed while we were away. Lee Ann seems to be able to handle it all- I was so impressed with her! She saved our weekend! We will be forever greatful for the the way she not only treated our pup but, also, the care and concern she showed us, as well. I can not say enough good things about her!

Lee Ann helped us out when our previous reservation fell through with someone else last minute. Can't thank her enough for all the photos and love she gave our girl Una.
Shortly after moving to the Knoxville, TN area, we needed a dog sitter for our 6 year old Great Dane, Humphrey. He has separation anxiety and does not get along well with other dogs so we were very worried about having to leave him with someone. Lee Ann made us feel very comfortable by doing several meet-and-greets with us and our boy! She was very knowledgeable about his issues and is incredibly intuitive with dogs. She even gave me a step-by-step plan to have my dog and her dog meet so that our dog did not feel anxious or scared. Needless to say, we came back to a very happy boy! He was well taken care of and relaxed. Lee Ann was so great about uploading photos and videos to the DogVacay site to help reassure us that he was doing great. I would HIGHLY recommend Lee Ann!!
