I have lived with dogs my entire life. I currently share my home with my 6 year old black lab named Reggie. I grew up with dogs, so I learned at a young age how to be responsible for another life. I am more than capable and extremely responsible in caring for my own pet and I know I can do the same for you and your pet!
I want to be become a dog sitter for a few reasons. First, I am new to the Tampa Bay area. I do have some friends here, but it's nice to meet new people - and new animals! Second, I would love to travel and explore my new home state, and being part of the Rover community would assist me in doing so. In addition, I could provide the same convenience for others wishing to do the same. Finally, Reggie & I would love the extra company from time to time!!
I currently live in a gated apartment community with a dog park and some of the most green space you find in the area. There are also plenty of sidewalks where Reggie and I get our daily 2.5 mile walk. It's a quiet neighborhood and is very pet friendly. In addition, we live near multiple dog parks and dog beaches.
I live alone in a one bedroom apartment, so you can be assured that when I say I will be taking care of your pet, I am actually the one present. We have plenty of space for us - and for visitors!
In case you're not comfortable bringing your pet into another environment, I am happy to make arrangements to stay in your home or check in on your pet from time to time - whatever you and your pet prefer!
I work a fairly strict 8am - 5pm schedule in a flexible work environment that's 15 minutes from home. I also have a one hour lunch break. It's rare that I run home for my dog, but I'm happy to take time to do so for yours midday. I understand not all dogs can go all day without being fed or let outside. I will do my best to understand your needs and the needs of your pet, so that he/she is as comfortable as possible while you are away.
My dog is allowed on furniture and sleeps in bed with me, so your pet is welcome to do the same if that's what is allowed at home. I do not kennel my dog anymore while I'm away, he usually sleeps in his dog bed or on my bed, but we do have a kennel if needed for your pet.
While your pet is in my care, I will make sure to spend as much time with them as possible. Nothing is more important than our fur babies!!
I understand that your pet is an extension of your human family. I know that mine is. You can rest assured that when your pet is with me, he/she is in good hands, will be well cared for and loved just as much as you love them.
