About Jenna

14 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I have many years of experience with dogs. I have been a foster home for Recycla-Bull Terrier Rescue for the last 4 years. I have successfully fostered 27 dogs, from anywhere from 2 weeks up until 3 months, until they get adopted by an approved home. I foster English Bull Terriers, which can be a very difficult breed, so I can say that I am very experienced with strong breeds and behavioral issues. Because many of the dogs that I foster have been dog aggressive I have a system where the dog will not make contact with my personal dogs. So if your dog is not dog friendly...don't worry they wont come in contact with my dogs. I have a separate dog room in my home with kennels of all sizes and I can close that door or keep a baby gate in the doorway. I have a very secure and private back yard for lots of exercise. I also have a lot of dog training knowledge if your dog needs to learn some new commands! My work schedule requires me to work 6-7 hours a day, so someone will not be in my home 24/7, but I do have video surveillance where I can check in on my phone at any time! My personal dogs and foster dogs have a many different medical issues that I have dealt with, so don't worry I can make sure your dog gets scheduled medication if they need it.

My home is 1 mile away from Animal Emergency Hospital of the Strand, 601-1 Robert Grissom Parkway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. In case of an emergency I could get your dog to emergency care within minutes. Any other concerns I would be able to take your dog to their local veterinarian.

I take them on at least one good 30 minute walk per day, possibly twice a day time and weather permitting. Dogs will need to have a reliable/safe collar and leash with ID tags on them in order to be able to go on walks. Plastic snap collars are not the most reliable as the plastic snap can break if a dog pulls too hard. I prefer martingale or buckle collars.

I like to provide dogs a peanut butter filled Kong for times that I have to be away and they have to be crated. This keeps them busy and happy in the crate. If you don't want your dog to have peanut butter you can bring their favorite treat or if they have nylabones or other crate safe toys or treats I can put in the crate with them.

Playtime out in the yard several times a day! If they are dog friendly they can play with my dog Flex, who LOVES every dog he meets.

Is your dog crate trained? If your dog stays in my home it will need to be crated when I am not home. I provide the crate, I have all sizes of crates small-XL

Is your dog flea free? If it is found that your dog has fleas I will charge a $25 bath and flea treatment for them.

Does your dog have any behaviors that I need to be aware of? Please notify if there is any food aggression, toy aggression, spots on them that they do not like to be touched.

I would HIGHLY recommend booking Jenna (unless of course, we need her that week ha ha). She was perfect with our dog, which was a recent rescue. She is extremely knowledgeable in handling dogs and is clearly a dog LOVER.

Her space for the dogs is safe, organized, clean and most important near human contact constantly. Jenna sent us lots of pics and videos of Bailey playing and it put our boys at ease. She was very accommodating when we wanted to pick him up for a walk and let us drop him off at her work. We go to Myrtle often and from now on Jenna will be our first choice!!
Great communication leading up to our dogs stay, and we received pictures and videos during their stay. Jenna’s place was great and accurately represented her profile. Jenna took excellent care of our dogs and we would definitely use her again. Thanks Jenna.
Ability to accommodate with very short notice great. Working with my pet new to area, timid and providing positive reinforcement to make him feel loved.... excellent
Jenna was great. It was my first time leaving my dog since i got him and she made me feel comfortable leaving. I received lots of photo and video updates during his stay, and he loved playing with her dogs.
My dog was not an easy one to keep. I appreciate her patience and honesty. Thanks Jenna
Amazing! Professional! Truly a pet lover. Instantly, Jenna made Belles apart of family. She's the best and truly a superstar.
Jenna was great with Sammi, she kept me updated with pictures and videos .She treated her as one of her family . I definitely would use her again if she has availability
Best dog vacay host I've used yet!!! She did amazing with my rescue dog that is very timid. My dog didn't want to leave! She also gives great tips and advise about dogs. If you are in Myrtle beach in need of a dog sitter Jenna is BEST choice.
Jenna is awesome! Took such good care of Ranger and gave me skit if great tips for his behavior. Will definitely use her and only her as long as she is available! So pleased with her service!
Jenna is a great dog sitter! She took the time to meet with me one day so we could see if it would be a good fit. Jenna went above and beyond to watch my 1 1/2 year old lab/hound mix, Izzy, as she cries a lot so Jenna made several accommodations so that she was more comfortable in her new environment. Jenna sent texts with pictures everyday and even videos some days to show her running and having a great time. Jenna's backyard is spacious and her 2 year old dog and Izzy became best buds. Jenna made sure Izzy was outside several hours each day to get out her energy and even asked me if she could have a peanut butter Kong snack! I will definitely bring Izzy back to Jenna's home.
