I am a dog lover, with one pug of my own. We love to eat, do tricks, go on bayou walks, and take trips to the nearby dog park. Sibley, my pug, is a placid yet youthful 10 years old pup, but she's still a pug, so naturally her most cherished pastimes include eating and sleeping, but during her waking hours she's always friendly and playful. I have always grown up having pet dogs, both big and small. We live in a very dog friendly area on the ground floor of a dog friendly apartment building where we're fortunate enough to have our own enclosed private patio and entrance. In addition to our patio, we live steps away from the newly renovated Buffalo Bayou, which is loaded with paths, grassy areas, people, other dogs, and even a large dog park (with separate gated play areas for large and small breeds) within walking distance if your pet enjoys mingling. Our apartment is spacious, with great windows and a porch for sunbathing and comfy dog friendly furniture for sophisticated lounging.
Throughout her life Sibley has lived with a variety of dogs of every shape, size, age, and temperament, and she has consistently adapted well to all new friends. I fluctuate between substitute teaching and studying for my teaching certification exams, so while some days I am away from home during the school day, most days I am here preparing for my upcoming exams, procrastinating from studying, and loving on Sibley and any guest pup we might have. If I am at school for the day, the moment I return we leash up, head downstairs to the bayou for a playdate and exercise, then, once home and fed, the indoor petting, playing, snuggling, and all around loving resumes!
Like most dog owners I'm a sucker for my dog, and while it is difficult to not spoil your pet too (which I happily will if that's typical treatment), I am very deliberate in adamantly adhering to your puppy perimeters; I don't want negate any work you've done. I guarantee I will adhere to any established (or in progress) rules, rituals, schedules, or training that y'all practice at home, and I will do my very best to create a normalized and safe environment for your pup. As a dog lover and caretaker, it is my goal to work with you to provide a comfortable, stress free, and fun experience for both you and your pup.
