Brittany's Pet Care
Pet care experience
My first baby blanket was adorned with artwork of young animals, and to this day I carry the adoration of animals in my heart. I grew up with cats, have adopted five dogs over my lifespan, had a lizard, I’ve treated rats like gold, and even babied two darling snakes. I’ve been caring for my dog Teddy for most of his life and have much experience with cats and their behaviorisms. I’ve no fear of any animal that graces this planet, and even my senior project in high school revolved around serpents. My mother didn’t nickname me “Dr. Dolittle” for nothing! My living arrangement provides a simple but charming home for any pet. I live in a small house in the middle of the woods behind a highway (don’t worry, a fence separates us); with me live three dogs, one cat, and one rat, all who get along surprisingly well. Our eldest dog Teddy isn’t very playful, but is very tolerant of our mischievous puppy Bentley. Our boxer Cali is very loving and just adores making new friends. The cat Lexi grew up around our dogs, so she shows no fear around them and will even sometimes play with small Bentley. My rat Link inhabits my room in his own cage, but is always under my watchful eye and can be moved to a shelf if any guest animal shows too much interest in him. The house is carpeted and, as we are currently housebreaking a puppy, pee pads are prevalent and can easily be provided for your animal, too. Your pet is welcome to explore my house in its entirety, excluding my younger sister’s room, which is barricaded off. In the typical day, I am in my room working at my computer. My mother is usually home as well, so the pet would be welcome to free-roam the house and still have eyes on it. In the case she is not home, I can certainly move out into the living room, close all the doors in the hallway, and therefore keep your pet in one location with me. We do not have a fence outside; that being said, your pet will be inside all day, unless you wish for me to talk him/her out on walks. Don’t worry, I can provide a leash. I’m looking forward to meeting new people and their pets! :) To the day I die I know animals will be one of the closest things to my heart, and I oath to treat any beloved creature just as I would treat a family member.
