I'm a 25 year old female who recently moved to Ottawa and unfortunately had to leave all my dogs (2 boxers and a dachshund) back with my family in my home town. I really miss having them around so I'm looking to fill the void until I decide to get a pup of my own!
I live by myself in a bachelor apartment in Centretown and work part-time as a server nearby so I have plenty of time at home and throughout the day to walk/play with the dog(s) I'm looking after. Because I only work part-time you can expect at least one nice long walk a day around the canal and a trip or two to the dog park in my area, as well as a few shorter walks throughout the day! I'm also never opposed to a good game of tug of war.
However because I live in a smaller apartment, small/medium dogs are preferred for boarding because I wouldn't feel as if a larger dog would have enough space. I do not have my own crate or dog bed, but do have the space for them if they are provided.
I've grown up looking after dogs and cats my whole life and also worked and volunteered for the Northumberland Humane Society for a couple years as well. I'm familiar with administering medication, looking after older dogs and separation anxiety issues. Have no preference in breed, love them all!
