My husband Drew and I are 2 dog lovers! Since childhood, we've both cared for dogs. Between us, there is no shortage of love or experience. Last year we we welcomed the newest member to our family...an 8 week old Goldendoodle. Archie is now 15 months old - with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Our family of 3 is looking for new friends to welcome to the Freedman Pet Sanctuary. ;) We live in a roomy 1 bedroom, air-conditioned apartment in the heart of Santa Monica. It is a nice open space for our furry guests to roam, run, and wander about. Because Archie is a 1-year old puppy, you can guarantee our apartment is puppy-proof! Not a shoe available to chew on. :) We are very cognizant of our companions needs and safety, as well. We rarely leave our dogs unsupervised, and if they are, its for a short period of time and in a capacity that is safe/appropriate for each dog. If you have specific requests, please share with us, we are happy to oblige. We live 4 blocks from the Santa Monica bluffs and right across from there is the beach. There are no shortages of long sunny walks along the boardwalk and socialization with other friendly pups in the neighborhood. We enjoy taking Archie to the Santa Monica dog park as well. We are happy to take our guests, but please let us know if you would prefer us not to. We wouldn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. We like to cater to each of our guests' requests. Whether they enjoy running, walking, tugging or simply playing fetch....we are here to accommodate! We have an abundance of toys and treats available to choose from. We ultimately do what makes each dog happy, but we certainly spend a lot of time on the bluffs or by the beach. **Special rules or requests** Prefer guests that are fully potty trained and do not show aggression towards other dogs. Also prefer dogs that don't mark. Having said that, we do welcome puppies. We have a lot of experience dealing with puppies and their specific needs.
