Brie's Northridge Dog-Sitting

Pet care experience

Thanks for stopping by my profile. I love animals, so any part of the day when I get to spend time with them is considered a good day. I'm a 26 year old grad student, attending CSUN for a Master's degree in English. In my spare time I enjoy writing short-stories, crafting and spending time outdoors. I am a literary nerd and a huge foodie. I would eventually just like to find a couple of families in the valley I can work for, so I can spend my days taking care of your adorable four-legged babies <3 . I come from an experienced background of both looking after, and caring for a variety of animals, especially dogs. I have owned a plethora of animals in my short lifetime thus far. I've worked as a receptionist for a dog-grooming salon and pet hotel. I doubled as a bather and a daycare handler. I have ambitions of becoming CPR certified and learn how to administer medications so I can learn to take care of even more animals. Thanks again for stopping by my profile, hope to talk to you soon!

Brie has been introduced to all of my pet companions over the nine years that we have been friends, and she has always proven herself to be very loving and compassionate. She is attentive and respectful, and tries always to remain intuitive to the needs of those she cares for, be they animal or human. I have a cat named Bobbie who I've raised since she was about a month old. She is six years old now, and not that fond of strangers or even of people who just don't come over very often. However dispite this, Bobbie always warms to Brie and displays obvious signs of being at peace with her company. This is something that comforts me, as it shows me that I would definitely be able to trust my baby's well-being with Brie if I ever had to go on a long trip or some such thing.

Couldn't think of a better fit. My dog may not be aggressive, but she's certainly not social and it takes her a while to warm up to people. However! She came up to Brie on her own the first time they met which assured me right away that my gut instinct was correct. Brie was sure to ask me about feeding schedules, which clinic to take her to if there was an accident, emergency contacts if I wasn't available and so on--- really covered all her bases. Beyond that, my seemingly anti-social had the best three days of her life (without me anyway). She got to go to the park which is rare, was walked every day, and because Brie was so good about sticking to her usual routine, I think it was much easier for her to relax. No messes to clean up when I got back and my goofy dog seemed just as well as when I left. I've had pet sitters that I've liked before, but Brie goes the extra mile which really stuck out to me. I'd recommend her first before anyone else, not only because she's good at what she does, but because she seems especially empathetic to a dog's anxiety or other feelings it may be having. She has a real respect for the pets she cares for and that's a nice breath of fresh air.

I've left my pets with a lot of family friends before and while they were taken care of, there always seemed to be something missing. When I left my 2 dogs and 2 cats with Brie, I knew she'd do a great job and take great care of them. When I came back from my trip that something missing from before was there! It was a combination of calmness and excitement. This showed that I made the right choice in having Brie watch my pets. 10/10 would have her watch them again.
