Pet care experience
Hi there, I'm Brenna and I am a HUGE animal lover! My husband and I live in South Burnaby with our sweet, friendly small fox terrier mix named Hunter and sassy little girl cat Murphy, and we both have lots of experience with animals and a huge love for them. I am very happy to offer pet walking/drop-in services to local families. I have availability weekday late afternoon/evenings, as well as all day on weekends. If you just need a break and someone to take your pup for a walk/run/outdoor adventure for an hour or two, or are away/working late and need drop-in visits for your pets, I’m your gal. If they are friendly with other dogs, they can enjoy the added bonus of some socialization with our very friendly and healthy pup. We love exploring the city and all the different spots it has to offer for dogs, so you can be sure your pup will be well cared for and probably tuckered out from their adventure! I would be happy to provide references at your request. I have experience with pets with separation anxiety, dietary restrictions, medical issues (administering medication during home visits), and more, so you can feel at ease knowing that your pet is loved and cared for. I can't wait to meet you and your sweet furry family member!

Brenna came to stay with our dog on very short notice and did a great job. Our dog can be a bit demanding and Brenna seemed able to manage his foibles and was very warm with him. He seemed to instantly like her. She had good communication and I would recommend her to stay with your dog.
Brenna was lovely with trinity. Very accommodating with our needs, would recommend for other owners in need!
She lives to love puppers. Can't own a dog simply due to work and school schedules, but it works out perfectly for short stints of cuddles and hikes.

I always make sure to ask pet parents how they choose to do things at home so that the care I am providing to your pet helps them to feel comfortable and at ease in their own space. I am happy to help keep up your basic training commands with your pup or take them to their favourite spots if this is something that helps you or your pup to feel more comfortable!

I have no breed or age preferences. I am open to any and all breeds and ages. I am not comfortable with dogs with major aggression issues, but am comfortable with large dogs or pets with separation anxiety.
A typical day
If you have parks or dog friendly fields near your home, your dog will enjoy some ball throwing, running and walking together, and perhaps interactions with other dogs if your dog gets along with others. I am a fairly active person, so running, walking and even the occasional hike with your pup is an equally fun activity for me, or a trip to the local dog park.

Availability
Due to my current schedule, I am available after 4pm on weekdays, and all day on weekends for drop in visits and/or dog walking. This will be ideal for you if your work schedule keeps you away in the evenings or on weekends and your pet(s) require some love, care and/or exercise throughout these hours!
