I'm Wendy, an animal lover and Austintown native who has been dog sitting out of my home for going on five years now (since 2017). I grew up with a dog always in the home and I was a dog mom for 19 years until her passing in January, 2020. In the past I've also worked as a veterinary assistant, dog washer, and have traveled the country as a house and pet sitter. During your pet’s stay with me you can be sure that they will be showered with attention, receive lots of hugs and kisses, belly and back scratches, combing/brushing, rinses/baths, and we will play many games of fetch both indoors and out and go on multiple walks. You will receive lots of photos and videos of our activities so that you don't miss them too much! :) I understand how hard it must be to leave your loved ones with a stranger in a strange place, but I promise they will be treated like family, have heaps of attention and adventures, feel like a star, and return home happy and healthy. I fall in love with each and every pet I sit and I enjoy being a pet sitter very much. The hardest part of this job is having to say goodbye! I sit one to two dogs at a time and I am at home with your pet at all times. If I need to step out, my parents are here to help. ➔ Large, fenced-in backyard. Gates are padlocked. ➔ Walks included! (Weather permitting.) ➔ Dogs are allowed on furniture and in bed and have full roam of house. I do not crate unless requested. (You will need to provide your own crate.) ➔ You'll receive lots of photos and videos and even a studio shot of your pup! ➔ Treats. I always have some on hand! ➔ Rinses and baths so your dog doesn't return home dirty. ➔ Dogs seat-belted when inside car. ➔ No other animals inside the house. ➔ No young children inside the house. ➔ Complimentary spritz of dog perfume spray on departure! ————————————————————— EXPECTATIONS + CONSIDERATIONS ————————————————————— ✢ Please provide your dog's favorite foods and treats. No need to bring their water and food bowls but if it will make them feel more comfortable then feel free. ✢ You may bring any beds, blankets, toys, and anything else you think your dog may like to have on his/her stay. ✢ Please be sure your companion has a current ID tag on their collar with your current phone number. ✢ I strongly recommend the use of flea and tick and Heartworm preventatives as I often walk the dogs in wooded areas. ✢ I have about 7 steep steps leading down to the fenced in back yard. Please consider this if your fur baby is a senior or not good with steps.
