About Bonnie

10 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Deluxe accomodations and fulltime love & attention! Dogs become part of my family - plus they are treated like special guests at a bed and breakfast. The best of both worlds!

I love dogs of all sizes and breeds and they love me too! I have a large beautiful home and yard that is completely pet-friendly. Because I work from home, I am able to give them attention throughout the day. I believe this is the most natural living situation for dogs because they are social animals who genetically crave companionship. I don't own any pets, so the dogs I care for receive my full attention.

While I am working at my computer, I enjoy having a dog with me by my desk, or the dog can wander around the house to find a comfortable spot, look out my windows, or go outdoors to explore and chase squirrels. When I'm not working, I love to talk to the dog, watch TV with him or her on the couch by my side, and play in my backyard when the weather is nice.

I have two healthy and successful daughters that are grown, and I find that I relapse into parenting mode when I watch dogs. Just like children, dogs need to feel safe, eat healthy foods and get plenty of exercise and attention.

Most of all, I try to have fun and make every day the best it can be. I find that having dogs around the house enhances the quality of my life significantly. And, I enjoy knowing my dog owners can relax when they are away because their special pet is being cared for and loved.

Bonnie often watched my pitbull-mix Buck. He loved Bonnie so much that when we drove towards her house his whole body would wag from tail to nose. She has a beautiful backyard where he could play as often as he liked. She even set up a child’s play pool for him to splash during the hot summer months. He liked to stretch out on her veranda where he could be close and watch her work on her computer. Bonnie took Buck for long walks every day and taught him how to walk like a gentleman using a gentle-leader. They would both sit on a sofa in her family room and watch football and PBS murder mysteries together. She treated him like spoiled grandson and he loved it!

Our Wheaton Terrier, Scout, stayed with Bonnie for two weeks when my husband and I traveled abroad. I can’t tell you what a relief it was to know that Scout was safe, happy, and having fun. Periodically, Bonnie would send us photos and videos of Scout in the backyard, on the family room sofa and attending family gatherings. We could see that Scout was getting all the love and attention she deserved.
