About: I adopted two wonderful dogs in 2017. I rescued them from a kill shelter in Southern California. Both have rabies shots and flea/tick medication. Spouse says I can't get another pet, so I'll pet sit others instead! I love to be around other dogs and puppies! I would treat your pet(s) as my own. I live in a pet friendly area in Downtown Hartford near the river and Connecticut Science Center. I truly love animals. My friends, family, and even some neighbors have relied on me to take care of their fur babies when they've been away. I recently stopped working a temp job and am available all day. My spouse works half the week but there are usually two people in the household so your pet will be well taken care of. There is an area called Constitution Plaza with multiple grassy areas for dogs to stretch their legs. There's also a long river walk with plenty of grass and play areas, so it's perfect for some outside playtime early in the mornings, or maybe when the sun starts going down so as to not overheat them mid-day.
8. Jillian H.

About: As I grew up, there were always dogs around me. My parents are dog lovers so they kept adopting dogs and puppies, and I am the one who took care of them mostly until I moved out with one of them. I have taken care of all kinds of dogs from training puppies of 8 weeks to taking care of over 90lbs dogs. I work from home most days so I can provide dogs the care they deserve throughout the day. My partner comes home before dinner time and we do not have any kids, so we have plenty of love to give to dogs until they fall asleep! We have a boy named Kuma. He is quite independent so he won't bother your dog(s) if they don't want but also he can be a good company to your dog(s) if they want to play. We have a backyard (unfenced) where dogs can play and run around freely (with long leashes). Kuma's favorite spot in the house is the sun room, where your dog(s) can enjoy nap under sunshine or enjoy the breeze and view outside. Also, there is a trail right behind our house; dogs love that trail. We do have an adjustable crate if needed or requested.
12. Alex L.
“Alex is more than qualified to care for pets. Not only is she extremely responsible and caring, she loves dogs more than anyone else I know. I brought my dog to stay with us in college and she cared and walked my dog more than I did. She loves her long morning and midday walks and spending quality time with the cute pups. I would 10/10 recommend Alex as a dog caretaker!”
13. Ari G.
“Ari has been dog sitting for our family for many years. She is reliable, consistent, and follows our sitting notes we leave for her. Ari always checks in with us and sends us pictures. Our dog is very anxious and Ari is very patient with her and provides a lot of affection to help her while we are away. You will feel comfortable and confident leaving your dog with Ari.”
14. Jill R.
“I’ve never done this before. My 1st time leaving my dog anywhere to stay for a few days. Jill was great. She kept in communication and sent me photos of my dog and his progress throughout the day. I def recommend sitting with her because she is very attentive and pays attentive and treats my dog like her own.”
15. Triba M.
“Triba is amazing! She loved peanut and made peanut feel safe and comfortable. This eased our anxiety too and we will definitely be working with Triba again soon!”
16. Joseph G.
“I don't know if I've ever seen anyone connect with pets as much as Joseph! He regularly interacts and pet sits with our pups, Zadi and Blitz, and they are always so happy to see him! You can expect t hat he's going to spoil your dogs with big long walks and a lot of pets. Definitely trustworthy and a great person to have take care of your pets.”
17. Jayda C.
“Jayda is a close work friend of mine. The words I would use to describe her are charismatic, trustworthy, friendly, loving, and caring. While I was on vacation, Jayda offered to take care of my two year old Havanese. She did a great job with everything! Jayda Cruz would be an excellent candidate for your service at Rover.com.”
