About Angie

19 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
My husband and I have been dog lovers for as long as we can remember! We have 2 dogs of our own, a 3 year old Pug/Frenchie mix named Amos and an 8 year old Boston Terrier named Phoebe. Our dogs are part of our family and we will treat your dogs just the same. If they sleep in your bed, enjoy your furniture, sit at the table and eat dinner with you, they will be welcome to do all the same with us! :)
We can accommodate any energy level as we have a quiet setting at home for those who need it and a lot of outdoor adventures just steps away for those who like to play. We live on Stock Island. Our townhome is 2bd,2bth so we have plenty of room. There is also a spacious dog park close by. Josh and I like a casual bike ride and have dog carrier that fits up to 90lbs. When I am away from home, there is nothing better than an update from my pet sitter; so I will be happy to do the same for you if you would like (#PuppySelfies). Our neighborhood is very dog friendly so your pups will feel right at home!

My dog Huck is a handful. He is a very exuberant yellow lab puppy who is just so excited about everything that he can hardly stand it. We have spent 2 nights away from him and he did not do so great. So when we were planning our big European trip of a lifetime my biggest worry was where were we going to leave him and how would we do with us gone for so long. My wife found Dog Vacay, and after an awful lot of requests sent, we found Angie and Josh. They were great. Angie took care of all of the details, which was very helpful because my head was full of plane tickets and passports and I could not have managed without her patience and kindness. As a 16 month old lab, Huck has a lot of energy, thankfully they live across the street from the dog park we always take him to, and I know that he went more in the 2 weeks we were gone than I have taken him in the last few months. I know our guy was a lot of trouble when he arrived, but they worked with him and got him to relax and feel comfortable at their home and with their pups. We loved the pictures that Angie sent, no matter where we were, if a Dog Vacay email came, we stopped and opened it up and saw how happy Huck seemed and it helped us to relax and enjoy the sights even more. I would absolutely have Huck stay with Angie again, if she would take him! Thanks again for everything!

Angie & Josh are amazing!!! I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my pups were being well taken care of. Got lots of updates and photos. My dogs became part of the family, it was really great! HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommend!
Angie is AWESOME! I am so happy & lucky we found her. I am one of "those" dog owners that is very nervous leaving their fur babies anywhere and Angie put me right at ease the second we met her. She took such great care of my dogs, she took photos regularly and asked questions if anything came up. One of my dogs is very shy and nervous & takes a long time to warm up, and Angie the "dog whisperer" had her sleeping in her arms in no time. I was VERY comfortable the whole time. When I picked up the pups, you could tell they had a great stay. I highly recommend Angie! I am already booking more stays!

Our pup had a tremendous stay at Angie's! She and her fiance were great hosts. Our pup can be shy around strangers, but Angie quickly gained her trust! She is now obsessed with these two wonderful hosts. Her stay included plenty of treats, a dog park visit, and several cuddle sessions. Thanks again and we can't wait to use Angie again!
