I'm a lifelong animal lover and have been guardian to variety of animals from a young age. For me, they are not just pets but cherished members of the family. My first dog came into my life at age 13 and I've been a devoted dog person ever since. Currently our family includes a lovable 2-year-old greyhound, Mad-Eye Moody, a guinea pig, and a pet rat.
I work full time from home and am able to give my pup and yours a lot of attention during the day. We have a quiet, calm household and a fully fenced-in back yard, and our canine guests are welcome to lounge wherever they feel comfortable. While they're here, they're family!
A typical day would include walks around the neighborhood and to a local park, playtime with toys and potty breaks in the yard, treats, and of course cuddles! My goal is for your dog to have fun and be as comfortable as possible while they are away from home.
We've completed basic behavior training with our dog, learning the principles of positive reinforcement clicker training and incorporating them in our day-to-day routine.
For the past two and a half years, I've been a volunteer at Longmont Humane Society in their small mammals department. I visit with rats, rabbits, and guinea pigs to help socialize them and prepare them for life in their forever homes. I'd be happy to give TLC to your little ones while you are away!
Some questions I have before your dog stays with us is:
Does your dog have food aggression? Separation anxiety?
Does your dog prefer a crate?
What is your dog's typical exercise routine?
